The dinner and the breakfast were amazing. I loved the Chef's preparation utilizing local ingredients and the execution of the dishes and presentation of the dishes were incredible. Beautiful lounge and impeccable facilities. Taka-san was very professional, warm, and hospitable. The onsen was outstanding, and very revitalizing after a long week in Nagano-ken. Exceptional hospitality and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing experience.

Everything! Nishida-san's homestay is a wonderful example of Japanese hospitality, The house iinteriors are in typical style, with one tatami room large enough for 3-4 people and the annex, with ensuite toilet and basin, to accommodate another two. The place is a 25 minutes uphill walk from Bessho onsen station, secluded in the woods, with a gorgeous view over the darkest forest I've seen (picture Princess Mononoke), with wild animals roaming freely up to your doorstep. Nishida-san is a wonderful person and the most marvellous host and does his utmost to make you feel cared for, and more! He insists to drive you up or down to the station with luggage, often made tea for us and even breakfast each morning which was delicious. The house is spotless and futon beds so comfortable, it's just what one needs to take a break from it all. We will certainly be back again on our next trip to Japan, as you won't find a better place or host to stay, anywhere. どうもありがとう Nishida-san

Excellent choice in Bessho onsen!! This was the first time we visited this place and we loved it so much!! We had very comfortable experience in this hotspring hotel. The workers were all extremely kind. They drove us from the train station to the hotel, helped us carry the luggage, and introduced all the visiting information here. Our room was very big, with extraordinary scenery and we enjoyed it a lot. Dinner and breakfast were included, and the food was just outstanding. BTW, after we bathed with the onsen, our skin truely became very very moisturized. What a magic onsen^^ This was one of our best experience in Japan!!

Amazing place. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The baths are gorgeous and everything is very easy to book and easy to get information through the hotel website. Breakfast was also amazing. Great selection of Japanese food.
