The breakfast portion was very generous, and I ate my fill. There was a variety of dishes, and the tamagoyaki seemed to be freshly made—it was hot. In the morning, having a bowl of miso soup with rice along with various side dishes made my stomach very comfortable. The evening kaiseki meal is also lavish, with very fresh sashimi. I recommend the beef. The hotel also recommends other restaurants and scenic routes.

Such a lovely stay! I had a room that faced the bay, with a pretty enclosed balcony area and a table and chairs. The rest of the room was also very spacious, equipped with everything, the Wi-Fi is great, and there was plenty of closet space as well. The lady who runs the guesthouse is extremely friendly, supportive and hard-working. She even washed my laundry for me when I came in tired the first day. She arranged for a friend to drop me of to the station when we were not able to get a taxi in time. She also kindly agreed to store my luggage for me when I went to hike the Kumano Kudo. The location of the inn is also very good. On a hill, but near the beach. Also near the bus stop, where a bus could take you straight to Tanabe, or even Hongu! Finally, there is a small onsen in the bldg, which is really nice to come back to...

Real character property, beautifully kept - it has much more history and style than the bigger hotels. Most of our group had never been to Japan before and started their trip here - their first time with futon beds in some rooms and also their first time going to the onsen. There is plenty of parking - we hired a car to drive to Hongu Taisha shrine and Yumomine onsen. The hotel staff were attentive when required and otherwise so discreet that it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We absolutely loved our stay!

The service was exceptional, the man working at the reception desk was kind and professional. My room had everything I needed, and the view from the balcony was great - I was listening to the sounds of the ocean while falling asleep. It was peaceful, quiet, and clean.

The staff are amazing. Attentive and friendly from before we even walked in the door. They made every effort to look after us. The infinity pool did not disappoint. The views and condition of the onsen pool were exquisite and created a relaxing yet exciting atmosphere. Dinner at Nagi was delicious. The beef especially and the sashimi. A massive surprise was a pianist performing a short sweet set as we relaxed in the lobby after dinner. A lovely end to the night.
