The location of this hotel is perfectly located for those in the military, a minute from one of the gates. Going for morning runs was perfect, the boardwalk is only a minute from the hotel as well. The cleanliness of the rooms is exceptional and the beds are super comfortable... a few of my coworkers stayed at other "3-star" hotels and slept in super hard beds.

The place is in a right spot, Walking distance to the “American village”. Close to supermarket and restaurant, the hotel can also provide with an renting car when you arrive. The room was so nice and clean, lots of space, and a small kitchen aswell. We rented a car and could park direct at the place aswell, it was like to have your own apartment, cozy and easy!

The room was very clean and fully equip with kitchen appliances, adult and children utensils. Good location. Near convenience stores like lawson and 7 eleven. Walking distance to sushi, ramen, teppanyaki restaurants, Aeon and American village. There is also Fogo gym within walking distance. My family and I stayed at Condominium Hotel Monpa, which is located right in front of Depot Island. The area has a somewhat commercial feel—like a blend of Las Vegas and the Santa Monica Pier—but it didn’t quite offer the sense of local charm we were hoping for. Since we wanted to experience Okinawa’s culture and food more authentically, we found ourselves leaving the area almost every day. That said, Chatan is very conveniently located. With a rental car (which I would highly recommend), it was easy to explore other parts of the island, including Nago, Yomitan Village, and Naha. One fun highlight nearby—especially if you like cats—is the “cat alley” near Sunset Beach.

We stayed three nights and that was enough for us.

We stayed three nights and that was enough for us. Beaches need more atmosphere, loungers, restaurants, shade etc. Also realised you need to hire a car cause America town and closes beaches got boring after three days.

The places I needed and wanted to go to were all within -20...

The places I needed and wanted to go to were all within -20 minutes from each other. The area is nice and walkable, some family marts and Lawsons on the way if you need to stop for a quick snack or need to pick something last minute. Many places to eat just put what you like on the gps and go. Be wary that not of the places will have parking available.

Relaxed calm atmosphere, contrary to adjacent American village. Lots of small local places with great food and bars. Great for surfers and divers and people who simply enjoy quiet vacation by the beach.

I expected a beach area with a south pacific vibe.

I expected a beach area with a south pacific vibe. Instead it was a theme park. We couldnt use the beach that the hotel overlooked because it was closed and had to walk 2 beaches over. Very disappointed.

Chatan is an ideal location for people visiting family...

Chatan is an ideal location for people visiting family members in the military. It's very close to most of the bases, and has a wide selection of hotels. There is public transportation, but It's very walkable (in most areas). We felt very safe walking around. The America Village there has lots of shops, restaurants and bars. There were three or four beaches that we saw.

- very spacious and comfortable room - great breakfast options, a lot of variety - non smoking room had no smoke smell - amazing TV setup! Every hotel should have information, language and etc setup this way - versatile/ adjustable pillows! If you like soft or hard you can find the right position easily - good sound isolation despite the area of hotel being active in the evening

Loved the spaciousness of the place, including the main area and the bathroom as well, with a washing machine to do the laundry. Snack machine and bike rental are good perks of the hotel. Late arrival was no problem for the staff, they could also help me with anything I requested.
