The guest was super nice with us, she waited for us and was open to have a long chat during the evening while she prepared delicious tea.

The onsens were wonderful. We both enjoyed them. Very relaxing. Location great for Ropeway.

This was one of our best stays in Japan! The apartment is large and comfy and the hosts were always gentle and prompt to help. Dinner was outstanding with multiple courses, and breakfast was excellent to start the day. They also have a outdoor Onsen! I see many comments saying you should either go by car or taxi up, but honestly we walked from the bus station with heavy backpacks uphill to the accommodation and did it in 15 minutes or so, I found it pretty ok. I would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking forward to stay in Hakone!

The room is very clean and comfortable. The view inside the room and around the hotel is splendid! I love the environment very much. Breakfast was good, we stayed two nights, and two mornings breakfast were different, both were delicious.

Cozy room in amazing location. Pity streets were too steep to walk back to the hotel, but the views are amazing. Loved the big room and immaculate facilities. Drinks are offered free of charge in the afternoon, like tea or coffee, which adds value to the stay. Super modern and looks new. Would definitely recommend!

Everything was beautifully presented, the dinner was definitely a highlight, and the views, quiet surroundings, and absolutely delightful library was top notch. I could have spent many more days reading and soaking in the serenity! The thoughtfulness of the dinner and breakfast, we were provided the story of each dish, made it greatly more enjoyable.

Amazing rooms, it is worth getting the mountain view rooms. I would also speak highly of the service and the shuttle service which was a flexible as possible to make travelling easier.

Boutique luxury hotel in Hakone. I believe there are only 9 rooms in total. Brand new and stunning. The room is fantastic - decent size, bathroom huge, wardrobe, bed comfortable and loved the traditional feel to everything in the room, your own onsen with beautiful wooden surroundings that you fill with water yourself and can hear the large waterfall from the native bush below. Just divine and relaxing. Smart tv that you can watch from the onsen or in bed. Because of the waterfall you needed to have the volume up quite high though. Drinks in fridge were for your enjoyment free of charge. They include drinks and snacks in the restaurant area in the afternoon for your enjoyment. Lovely check in process, with a personal touch and a traditional tea. Bus stop right there at road entrance to the hotel - we used this a few times during our stay. Taxi is best when arriving and leaving with suitcases given the hills. 7 eleven a few hundred metres walk. We didn’t want to leave!

The Barhotel Kazan is a very unique place. It's true relaxation and comfort. The hotel offers a huge variety of free drinks at the bar where you can enjoy the scenic view and the fantastic atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, respectful und focused on their amazing service. The Rooms are spacious and cozy. We've been there for the second time already and looking forward to come back next year again. It's an excellent place if you're looking for some quiet, relaxing environment. The Hotel offers private Onsen or public Onsen as well. It's surrounded by nature. The service is awesome. The staff always try their best to make the stay fantastic.

Amazing visit! Lovely atmosphere and the overall vibe was just wonderful. Free snacks, the private onsen and the views were our favorite things. Would definately go again, was so relaxing🙏

The location and rooms were fabulous with the onsen. Staff were very friendly and helpful and loved the in room dining experience The spa was amazing but you have to book as there is only one room. Which is fine.
