Everything was excellent. Staff was really nice. Wonderful facilities. Delicious dinner. Public bathroom 😍. The room gives your the right vibes and you feel like in old Japan. Bed was very cosy.

It was the perfect little escape, the Ryokan was peaceful and relaxing with beautiful attention to detail. A real perk was access to a private onsen, perfect after a long day hiking. The hosts are a lovely and welcoming family that made me feel instantly welcome. The food is delicious, especially the breakfast which as a beautiful spread of food.

Very cool old house refurbished with modern fittings. Easy to understand instructions to get in. Had everything we needed - a mini kitchen with cooking utensils, comfy bed (we only slept upstairs), great location (short walk from Mitake station - about 10mins), safe surroundings (right across the Mitake post office), and easy access to hikes around (an enjoyable 40mins walk to the mitake cable car station). It happened to snow when we were there - it took awhile for the house to warm up since it was big. The best thing was the big onsen tub and the bath salts - very much needed after long hikes each day. Great little balcony upstairs to chill out and watch the sun set over the mountains. The team was very responsive, which was very much appreciated. When we left, unfortunately train lines got cancelled and we were stranded. They couldn't help, but they answered our questions readily. We acknowledge the effort. Would highly recommend.
