Honestly the room was a very good size for a twins beds room for two people with fairly large suitcases, with a little table and chairs lounge style to eat in the room. For a very reasonable price. It was perfect. Also love the fact that our toilet room and the shower room are separate. I love when they do this. Other little details, very close to Tokyo Disney (maybe 20 minutes but it's three stops from the train station) The nearest train station is across the street, and on the other side of the station is a supermarket.

This hotel was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Location was fantastic, especially for access to Kappabashi St for knives and kitchen wares. The apartment was clean, spacious, comfortable beds, lovely shower and bath, very clean and we had an excellent view of Skytree from our window. Staff were so friendly and incredibly helpful to us a number of times over our 5 night stay. It was great to have a kitchenette to cook some meals as all our other accommodation hasn't had this so we've eaten out a lot. It also had a washing machine/dryer which was excellent to put in a couple of loads over the 5 days rather than wasting time at a laundromat.

From the moment we arrived, I was really impressed with the hotel. The reception team was kind and attentive, even providing us with umbrellas when it was raining. The facilities and the room were spotless, modern, felt fresh and high quality. I was especially satisfied with the cleanliness. Each day, a staff member left a note indicating who had taken care of the room, which was a nice personal touch. The complimentary water provided daily was also much appreciated. The bathroom was spacious compared to other hotels in Tokyo and major cities, and the room itself fully met our needs. The coin laundry area is well-equipped with modern machines and even includes a coin exchange machine, which was very convenient. There’s a FamilyMart conveniently located on the ground floor, which was very useful. The hotel is located in an upscale area of Tokyo, within a short walking distance of Gaiemmae Station, making it easy to access other parts of the city.

What have preferred to stay in Tokyo, but a friend suggested it because we were meeting her. But she didn't tell us about meetings she had and we could have stayed in downtown Tokyo for about the same price. Good location if you need to be in that area with the hotel at the station.

Musashino is a Tokyo city suburb - accessible to central Tokyo in 20 minutes. Musashino area includes Kichijoji with a huge variety of dept stores, shops, eateries, restaurants of all cuisine types, and also the wonderful large Inogashira Park and its large pond, as well as Ghibli Museum. Nearby are more sedate areas of Nishi Ogikubo and Mitaka.

Hachioji is the gateway to the Fuji lakes and beyond.

Hachioji is the gateway to the Fuji lakes and beyond. The surrounding areas can be accessed easily by train or car. Mount Takao is a short train ride away. At the same time, Hachioji is a relatively short train ride from Tokyo.

Machida has everything you need for shopping plus the Odakyu...

Machida has everything you need for shopping plus the Odakyu Line into Shinjuku or the Yokohama Line into Yokohama if you need to hit the big time. Still comoared to most North American towns, Westerners will think Machida is HUUUUGE and super busy. For Kanto region I'd saw it's a hub for Kanagawa but manageable. Food choices at and around the station are excellent. Hotels are way cheaper than in central Tokyo yet you are only 30 to 60 mins on any train to wherever you need to go. Direct buses from Narita and Henda airports as well so no need to deal with hauling luggage on trains. Or just takyubin (courier) luggage to Mahcida from airport.

Fuchu was a wonderful town to stay in on the outskirts of Tokyo. It has a slower, more relaxed atmosphere than central tokyo. The people were friendly and there was plenty to do and see. The tree lined main street leading to the temple was beautiful. And there were some local parks that were nice to walk to.

The island is lovely and has many outdoor activities.

The island is lovely and has many outdoor activities. But you will likely need to rent a car to reach some of the more remote areas easily. There are buses and taxis, but you may have to wait quite a bit of time. Many of the restaurants will close during the afternoon and early evening, so be sure to have some snacks prepared or stay in a place with a kitchen.

Kichijoji is a great area in the western suburbs of Tokyo.

Kichijoji is a great area in the western suburbs of Tokyo. We explored the beautiful Inokashira Park and other points further west such as Chofu and Koganei. We ate at a great izakaya that specialises in squid called Totomaro. There's plenty of shopping, including Don Quijote and Yuzawaya. Kichijoji is on the Chuo line which connects with Shinjuku and Tokyo stations. It's also really well serviced with buses.

Amazing! It truly feels like stepping into a completely different world—such a unique and unforgettable experience. The atmosphere, the vibe, everything about it just pulls you in. It’s definitely something everyone should try at least once!

Love this neighbourhood.

Love this neighbourhood. I lived in Japan for several years, 2 decades ago, and I have gone back a few times for a visit. First time for me to be in Tachikawa. It has great vibe, a bit of hustle bustle, but not crowded and suffocating like Shinjuku or Shibuya. Lots of shops and cheap restaurants. Not touristy at all and you can observe locals doing their everyday business if that is your thing.
