Owner truly help you. She is best, and the place is great value. Awesome area that somehow has few tourist yet. The town is between mt. Aso, and the large mountains area that has waterfalls and pure nature/small vilages. Local shrines are amazing! Tge house is a houndred years old japanesse home, that the real thing!!

Everything was good quality… down to the tea towels. The old store room was well converted with double glazed windows and thoughtful features. The communication with the owner was excellent. We were a little late arriving but the owner met us to show us around. We loved sitting outside looking at the night sky and stars in the evening. The shower was fabulous and the beds were comfy and warm.

A perfect location in a quaint town near Mt Aso. It was a traditional style guesthouse with futons and tatami floor with the modern convenience of a coffee machine. It was an easy walk to a local izakaya for dinner and supermarket for last minute items. The host Stefano was fun and engaging. He was so helpful. Can’t wait to visit the region again.
