The place was really nice and tidy. From the outside it looks shoddy, but then inside facilities are top notch, clean and with everything you need for a good rest.

Yubune is set in Onomichi, in the Ikuchi Island district. This 5-star hotel offers a spa experience, with its sauna and hot tub. The hotel also features free WiFi and free private parking.

The facility was lovely, peaceful, calm and very clean. The baths felt wonderful after a day of cycling. Although there was no restaurant onsite we were able to find food within a five minute walk for both dinner and breakfast.

Absolutely loved our stay. It was a piece of paradise after riding the day from Onomishi. The staff were very welcoming and lovely, and thought of every key moment. Views were lovely and the room was perfect. Eco vibes and loved the Aussie native plants too. To top it off Brekky was yum and croissant 🙌🏼

Everything was on point, from the easy check-in, to the amazing room with plenty of space, a fridge, the most comfortable pj’s ever (I would have bought them if it was possible), kettle tea and coffee, impeccable clean. It’s literally two minutes away from the main cycling line super easy to find. A Lawson down the road and a drug store that closes at 10pm (just be careful to have cash or a suica card to pay). The bathrooms and showers were spotless clean and they have thootbrushes, combs, ecc.. available.

SOIL Setoda features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Onomichi. The accommodation provides luggage storage space and free WiFi throughout the property.

Just a bit off the main shimanami kaido road lies this traditional Ryokan run by a couple (grandma and grandpa). The Ryokan itself is traditional, yet the facilities are new and clean, which is really as best as it can get - you get to enjoy the beautiful traditional Japanese architecture and Ryokan experience without having to compromise on having new toilets (totto, of course) and a new, clean shower room. The home-made washoku breakfast was delicious, so was the coffee. The staff were so helpful, nice and welcoming, and I had a great time eating dinner while talking. Do note that this Ryokan doesn't have restaurants nearby, and it gets pretty dark, so make sure to get yourself a bento at the konbini or supermarket before arriving! (They do remind you in the booking messages and description) For those who want a comfortable experience at a traditional old running Ryokan, this is definitely the place!!
