Super clean and tidy room with a nice patio overlooking the pool. Friendly dog came to say hello every day. The owner made us dinner bookings each night at a local restaurant (all walking distance) and they were all excellent!

The Ilmare has one of the best views of any of the Iriomote hotels. There are a number of nearby restaurants to choose from. The staff helped us out a couple of times and the transfers to a from the ferry terminal worked well.

Everything in this place is great, first the owners, the lady came to pick me up at the port, helped me arrange accommodation for the later part of my trip. She sings beautifully Okinawan songs, moreover! The facilities are great, lots of place when you want to stay on your own, lots of opportunities to meet other people. I had such a great time there, I so much appreciated the warmth and coziness of the guesthouse when outside the weather was not good. I could cook my own food, wash my clothes in.the free machine. If I come back to Iriomote, I sure will stay here again.
