This venue was beyond my expectations. The room was large … the facilities spotless.. the service very polite and discreet. It was a wonderful place to stay. The included breakfast was excellent. Lots of variety. The room was very large by japanese standards. The spa on the balcony was a pleasure to use.

Everything is good, since check in till check out. Breakfast, facilities, staff , beach is very near by walking distance. room and hotel itself very clean and comfy. What I love about Okinawa, and more so Onna is that it's not...

What I love about Okinawa, and more so Onna is that it's not as busy crazy with tourist unlike the 'typical Japan hotspots' like Tokyo, Kyoto etc. Perfect balance of things to do, great eateries.

We loved Onna!

We loved Onna! You’re right in the middle between Naha and the Aquarium. We used to go to a nearby beach called Kibougaoka Beach — mostly locals (but nver more than 10 people), and it was absolutely magical. So beautiful! YOU NEED TO RENT A CAR!

A gorgeous spot with plenty of local restaurants to enjoy.

A gorgeous spot with plenty of local restaurants to enjoy. Beaches on your doorstop and other attractions such as pottery village only a short drive away. I really made use of the hire car for trips out of Onna, but a few days could be enjoyed in the town by walking.

Onna was disappointing.

Onna was disappointing. A long way from Naha airport although well serviced by airport limousine bus on our way in. There were no busses on the return to Naha from the resort for an early flight out, so needed to pay taxi which was expensive. Weather was a bit indifferent - had expected something more of a pacific island climate. Other than resort (Sheraton which was very limited in choice for meals), there were limited evening eating places. Those that were available were 30minute walk away from the resort, some reasonably ok, others not so. Would recommend Jam for dinner - booking essential - worth the money

The beach and area were good.

The beach and area were good. It was disappointing that we had to pay extra for beach chairs and umbrella, and there were also fees to use their facilities, such as: gym, tennis court, public bath, etc. the buffet was okay, we only had an option for one restaurant, the other was closed, so we were limited on where we could eat at the resort. Also, if u want to watch the sunset by the bar, u had to pay for a drink. The resort was old, and some areas were much needed of a renovation

Onna is located approximately half way between the northern...

Onna is located approximately half way between the northern tip and Naha in the south. It is a smaller town and has bus routes through it. It has quite a few restaurants and some are quite expensive but apparently worth it, we recommend the Tacorice restaurant, but note: parking is further down behind a building! They have nice meals and there is a party table at the rear which would be great for large groups so book perhaps. Price is great too! A car is preferable so can access the conbinis in the area with more ease. Its definitely not Tokyo in that regard but we were there because of that - and had a car!

Fantastic host! Right next to Moon Beach (have to pay 1000 yen to use) and other (free!) beaches and restaurants. Room was cleaned daily, free use of washing machine, has a coin dryer too. Felt like I could properly unwind and relax here. Bus stop is close, however I rented a car (free parking!) which I think is a must if you come to the island to be able to see and enjoy what okinawa has to offer especially if you're here for a short stay.

The facilities were excellent, staff were so helpful especially in arranging activities, the room size is large and comfortable, the shops and restaurants are very convenient and other local restaurant and cafe options are available nearby. The beach is beautiful for swimming and for the views. The resort transfer bus which is free is an excellent service - this needs to be booked at least 6 days in advance.

We loved Mihana! Located in a beautiful part of Okinawa, with super friendly staff who went above and beyond. Delicious restaurant on site, as well as several within walking distance. The staff also helped us book a Blue Cave snorkel tour with a lovely dive guide. Definitely recommend hiring a car on this island to explore.

Location between Naha and aquarium is good, lots of restaurants in Onna so lots of choice. Facilities at the hotel are great, perfect for families - private beach, pools, with slides etc. We got a room upgrade and was overlooking the beach / ocean. Free parking, small thing but many hotels charge!

Loved this hotel and its location. Brilliant beach- almost private. Great buffet supper and breakfast where you could try all the Okinawa specialities and a very reasonable price. Definitely need to hire a car. Great hotel for a 3-4might break.
