A home away from home in an amazing house with great hosts and delicious home-cooking. It doesn’t happen very often we so regretted to leave after 3 relaxing nights. We had delicious dinners with our hosts, went to the sticky rice trowing ceremony in a nearby temple and had fun making traditional snacks. After one month traveling in Japan this was a very welcoming break from the hustle and bustle of big cities. From the bathtub we watched the cherry trees in full bloom and later in the night the moonlight reflected on the snowwhite trees. Pure bliss.

The hotel is in an exceptional location, within easy walking distance of Muro-ji Temple, which gives the stay a rare feeling of peace and seclusion. There are many beautiful routes nearby for walks and hiking through the forest, and places like the Art Forest are also easy to explore. Even without a car, you can still do a lot: with a bit of planning around the timetable, it’s possible to take the bus to a nearby town/village and come back the same day. The rooms are truly stunning — traditional Japanese style with beautiful details, very calm and atmospheric. A special thank you to the host: he personally prepared a traditional dinner for us, and it became one of the highlights of our trip. He was exceptionally kind, attentive, and helpful. We were traveling without a car, and he even drove us to the store a few times, which we really appreciated.

We were happy with the Route Inn because they are bike-friendly and allow you to keep your bikes in your room. The restaurant has fair prices. Our room was quiet and had everything we needed. It was very nice to relax in the spa after a long day‘s cycle.

It was a traditional Japanese experience. We were received with a warm and kindness treatment. I felt like part of the family, they care about we need, and support all the time. If you want a Japanese breakfast, this is the place, but advise them the day before, it worth it. P.S. you have to know that is not a conventional hotel, it is a Ryokan.

Some would maybe find it to be a little bit old, but I think for the money it's perfect. The staff was super nice and friendly. Everyone was smiling and helped me. Also the location directly at the station is perfect.

We styed one night at the hotel. Overall the hotel is bit dated, but the room was clean and futon were very comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Lots of choices. Calm location. We enjoyed the onsen.
