We're so glad we could stay here, it was really beautiful and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen and bath are really nice, and there were so many beautiful details about the whole place. We'd love to stay again if we ever get the opportunity. Probably the nicest lighting of anywhere I've stayed in Japan.

If you love cats this is the nicest place you will ever be. The owner goes out of his way to help you taking hospitality to the next lever, even by Japanese standards. Mino helped us get to the ferry, made sure we had the opportunity to play and feed the hotel cats, upgraded our room. There's no words to thank all the kindness we received.

I was blown away by the overall experience. We actually booked the hotel because we wanted a cheap place to stay near Matsushima. However, after staying the night, we love the hotel and the location so much that we are planning on going back again in the future just to spend some time in Onagawa and properly appreciate the location. Onagawa is a beautiful little sea side town. It has been renewed since the 2011 earthquake, and everything from the station to the facilities nearby, to the play park for children, all has an amazingly beautiful asthetic. The hotel itself is so much fun! The box-car style rooms are very cozy, and I a mean that in a good way. We went in early spring where it was still quite cold outside and the rooms were very warm. I slept so well on the bed. There was just enough space for my wife, myself and our almost-2-year-old. The box cars are arranged in what is almost a tiny village. The area outside of the box car rooms is decorated beautifully. The front desk was incredibly helpful, and accomodated our every request.
