Nevis
Located right on Oualie Beach, this family-run resort offers lush gardens and charming rooms set in Caribbean-style cottages. I love all the wild animals that appear everyday. I had a front row seat on my porch to the monkey's antics everyday. I laughed at the randomness of the 3 donkey's running past on the beach at sunset & then seeing a group in the parking lot at night when coming back. The goat noises are adorable & there was a mom with 2 babies. The hummingbird visited the flowers in front of my porch in the morning. The staff was friendly & helpful. The room is so pretty with the canopy bed & multi level floor. We were missing the steps by the bed in the picture which would've made it easier to get up & down the high bed. Good location for the property & parking is easy. Lunch stops at a certain hour so we only had a choice of burgers which is a shame. Another guest gave us 1 of her fish tacos which was delicious. We didn't realize the menu changed everyday which is nice. We were always out all day so didn't eat any other meals except the first lunch. Easy checkin & checkout. (The golf cart noise is a little annoying)

Nevis
This luxurious resort is set in a 60-acre former sugar plantation at the foot of Nevis Peak. It features a Spa with massage and body treatments, a tennis court and a private beach. It is impossible to properly convey how exceptional this hotel is. The service is impeccable without being ostentatious. The facilities are Immaculate and beautifully maintained. The design and decor through the hotel is clean, elegant and simple. Room was large, and very well appointed with details such as Nespresso machine, fresh flowers every day, comfortable bed, and both North American and Europen style outlets. Breakfast included full Continental, with fresh juice, fruit, cereals, yogurt, and handmade pastries, as well as a full suite of English and North American Style hot breakfast from the menu. We had lunch and dinner there a number of times, the food is world class. The rum selection is outstanding, and the excellent cocktails are very strong! We took full advantage of all of the opportunities to use on-site facilities such as tennis courts, restaurants, swimming pool, shuttle to the equally well serviced private beach, and spent the morning cooking with the executive chef Halva - but spent as much time exploring the island on our own on mountain bikes and scooters which the staff arranged for us. Exceptional service and value. We will be back.

This is an exceptionally easy country to travel in. The locals are very friendly, and treated us to excellent Hospitality everywhere we went. Wonderful country for active people who want to enjoy some challenging hiking, cycling, and water activities. It is very safe. Be sure to spend time exploring Nevis, it is a beautiful place and the people are lovely. Rent a scooter for the day if you want to explore on your own, try the local restaurants in Charlestown, Pinneys Beach, or other hotels such as Golden Rock and Montpelier.
The most charming Caribbean island I visited. Rent a car and drive around all small hotels and experience different beach clubs and restaurants. Owners all have passion for Caribbean life and history and it shows in their properties.
Interesting and peaceful small island, with a good atmosphere and welcoming people. Enjoyed visiting the Botanical Gardens and Charlestown. Good place to relax. Taxis plentiful and also used the local, cheaper buses.Excellent meal at the Gin Trap, with the manager insisting on driving us home to Oualie Beach resort after dinner! Friends also reported the best ever lobster sandwich at the Golden Rocks Hotel (wish I had got there too!).
If you are looking for some quiet time and relaxation. Nevis is the place for you. Sunshine bar and grill is awesome and penny beach beautiful to get some sun and killer bee drink. The hot bath is awesome way to get you muscles relax. It is best to rent a car to see the beauty of Nevis.
Our favorite island. The people are special, it is unique , not touristy , beautiful. If you like hiking, non typical Caribbean experience then Nevis is the place for you. Great restaurants , Mountain Nevis wake up to daily. The island isn't for everyone , but if you go there and love it , there is no place better.
