Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and views of sea, Maximus Hotel Byblos is situated in Jbeil, 2.8 km from Byblos Archeological Site. The gym and swimming facilities were amazing and stayed open until 11pm. The service was superior, letting us use the free shuttle according to our schedule and even later check out. Breakfast was like a buffet but served to our table in a beautiful, classy way. A special bonus to our trip was after 20 min of walking up the mountain, finding The Haven cafe in a quaint little wood cabin.
Set in Jbeil within 2.2 km of Byblos Archeological Site and 2.2 km of Byblos, Byblostar Hotel features rooms with free WiFi. Clare the hotel owner is at the heart of this hotels success. She goes above and beyond a normal hotel owner to make sure her guest are happy. We were staying in Byblos for two weeks and wanted a place that felt like home, and that is exactly what we received. She felt like our Lebanese mum who cooked breakfast fresh for us every morning. Her breakfast is super fresh, healthy and a great way to start the day. This is a boutique hotel, and you come to this hotel for a personal and authentic experience. Clare is such a generous and kind hearted person who even drove us to get SIM cards for our phones. Lebanon is not the most tourist friendly country, so Clare really helped us a lot. A SIM card is hard to get in lebanon and her assistance was appreciated. It is also quite difficult to not get ripped off by taxi drivers, so Clare did all the money handling for the taxis for us, thankfully. The two most important things for me personally in a hotel is customer service and cleanliness and Byblostar delivered on both. The room was cleaned everyday to an extremely high level. Honestly the floor was so clean you could eat off it. Every single day the room was spotless and scrubbed clean. The customer service was of an extremely high level, for example on this trip Clare even got my shoes fixed for me. It was honestly like our apartment because we were there for two weeks. She was great as we had people visiting us and she was fine with people visiting. It was also super easy to order coffee up when we needed it. One thing is for sure you can always count on Clare to put a smile on your face, weather it is her funny stories or her great tourist recommendations. It depends what you are looking for in your accomodation, but if you want a boutique authentic experience I would highly recommend this hotel.

Must say also a special thank you to lady Juwana for being so amazing at the breakfast and being very active. Definitely will go back in our next visit.
Monoberge Byblos occupies one of the oldest human settlements in the world. It is a small guest house 2 minutes’ walk from the Byblos seafront. So the hotel is on the main road. I never noticed it and slept like a log in a huge and very comfortable bed. Good breakfast and plenty of it with lots of choice. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who helped me out over a parking ticket! It is only a few minutes walk from the souks, harbour and castle. A very nice hotel to stay in.
Ahiram Byblos is a beachfront hotel offering several activities, fresh seafood, and Mediterranean Sea views. It is a walking distance from beaches, the fortress, the old port and Byblos market. We felt like king of the castle at the Ahiram Hotel. The property has an eviable location overlooking the Med and Byblos historic center with a few steps down to a terrific beach. The staff is wonderful catering to our every need from spotless rooms to punctual and delicious meals and drinks. They helped us plan our day trips and were enthusiastic greeters making our stay all the more special. Thank you Ahiram - for inspiring us to love Byblos and Lebanon!

Lots to see in old town, especially Byblos and beautiful place to walk around but the best was our hotel and how there was nature without buildings above it to walk around in. The Haven cafe had wonderful quinoa salad, excellent cakes, various kind of drinks and prices were very reasonable.
Byblos (Jbail in Arabic) is a wonderful choice for those wanting a night or two out of Beirut, but it's also an easy and enjoyable day trip. The seaside, good accommodation and eating options, and a lively party scene in the old souq ....
Very nice location. Signage could be clearer. There was a sign to the wax museum but could not find it. Resturants very nice.scooters in the souk very dangerous. Cars driving amongst the pedestrians very scary
The sites and the old town are wonderful. Very cute streets and great cafés and excellent restaurants. The beach bay is very nice but only to look at not to swim in (private or public, same). The sea is very dirty. We had asphalt from the electricity ship nearby (so we were told) stick on our feet and skin for ages just from walking on the beach and it was the most disgusting experience. We also were dangerously harassed by a private car with a Lebanese driver (not a Syrian) on the street and when we reported the incident to a municipality policeman, our complaint was dismissed and disrespected, with the excuse that many private cars are trying to work as taxis and are not getting stopped by authorities. We felt very unsafe. A taxi driver told us most municipality police get their jobs through clientelist networks and not because they are competent. This is dreadful and such a waste of opportunity, because if Jbeil had cleaner beaches and a less corrupt governing body it would be a truly amazing city.
We stayed at Pepe Fishing Club Guesthouse. It was among the ancient ruins and the restaurant overlooked the sea port. The ruins are amazing and the stone pathways and steps meander through the old lime stone buildings. There is an abundance of really good restaurants in the Souks alleyways.
Please avoid food in feniqia rest. Mansger was too rude to ask us to wait as rest was full when we entered. Over n above he did not bother to talk n casually said try after one hour Lots of other cafes n rest in surrounding u may enjoy any of these to hv good food
