we chose the property due to its beautiful gardens, and it did not disappoint. it was a quiet haven away from the busy centre of Hikkaduwa but also close by enough! it was very tranquil. the staff were very friendly. We had breakfast included and went for the srilankan breakfast each day which was wonderful, the portions were huge! they helped us rent a scooter and were the best place we've stayed in in Sri Lanka, jungle vibes with clean rooms and Sir Lanka vibe but also modern enough!

A fantastic hotel, really a hidden gem. From arriving to the hotel, meeting the owner Dale and the whole stay was amazing. Its a small, very pesonal hotel with a very nice atmosphere. The staff did an amazing job, bringng, drinks, coffee etc to our room and helping us with all kinds of things. Its not at the beach, but so close, a quick tuktuk ride away. The foos was fantastic, with a mix of European and Asian food. We highly recommend this hotel!

Everything was perfect! The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. The staff make you feel right at home with their amazing hospitality. Highly recommended!

We had a very pleasant stay and really enjoyed our time here. The family running the accommodation is very warm and welcoming, and we felt comfortable from the beginning. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The pool area is nice and well cared for, and the surrounding nature makes the location quiet and relaxing. The beaches can be reached within a 5–10 minute drive. Indika prepared tasty and varied breakfasts every morning. We originally booked for two nights but decided to extend our stay to eight nights, which says a lot about how comfortable we felt here. The price–performance ratio is very good. We also booked a 90-minute massage on site, which was the best massage we had during our Sri Lanka trip. We would recommend this place.

As soon as I entered Tranquil Escape Villa, I was greeted with a welcome drink that was amazing. I checked in to my room and wanted to try the pool to relax myself after a hectic day of travel. The pool was clean & well-maintained. It looked as good as it looked in the photos, which was a pleasant surprise. I booked a deluxe double room and it had a king-sized bed. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean as well. Mr. Patrick, who was the manager of the property, took great care of me. The breakfast he prepared was absolutely delicious. Overall, my experience at Tranquil Escape Villa was a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Fabulous villa accomodating few families (45 people ). Lots of space and room to be comfortable even when raining it was a good space to be in. Food : very good and local specialties - mango curry. Staff : very attentive and helpful. Rooms : very clean and spacious Swimimg pool : good size

everything, especially the location

We had a wonderfull stay at river shades! We stayed in the private villa for two days with the view on the lagoon and, although the hotel just started and there are still some activities going to finish the place, It was a truly wonderful and relaxing place. The pool is lovely, and the lagoon is very peaceful! The staff's service is also excellent; they do everything they can to make your stay perfect! We absolutely recommend this place and would definitely return!

The property is absolutely stunning. Amazing attention to detail. A slice of tranquility yet only 6 mins drive away from the hustle and bustle of the local beaches and town. The staff were faultless, nothing was too much. The Host Pandu was incredibly helpful and attentive, he made us feel at home immediately. Also, his previous experience as a tour guide shone through, telling us lots of interesting things about the area as well as Sri Lanka itself. The chef was also incredible, the Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious. Can't recommend this place enough.

This guesthouse was really lovely to stay at. The design of the buildings are quirky & creative, it’s amazing to have a pool you can mingle with others in. The restaurant where there always seemed to be staff is on the top floor. The rooms & linen were clean, & had big towels. I think each room has a private balcony, it has nice wood furniture on it. I loved having multiple pot plants in the bathroom & balcony, & around the complex. Loved the lush gardens. I had a stomach bug & Kumara the owner let me stay 7 hours after checkout till I had to leave for the airport - very generous. Him & his staff looked after us very well, there was always someone around to help

I had an amazing stay at this place! It offers exceptional value for money with everything you could ask for. The authentic Sri Lankan food was absolutely delicious, giving us a true taste of local flavors. The breathtaking views from the property made every moment feel special. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Its location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, and the area felt very safe. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic experience!

Really sweet man working there that gave me a coconut each day. He didn't speak much English but made me feel safe as a solo female traveller. Beautiful big pool. The room was a great size.

It’s an overused word, but serenmo is a true oasis. Beautifully done, very attentive staff, interesting owner. Also very close to the beach. Great place to stay

The atmospheric place is hidden in front of the mangro jungle forest and lake. The host is friendly and ready to support you by phone. We were provided early arrival room 6 hours before with no additional charge.

After a 20-day trip in Sri Lanka, we experienced our best stay at OMA! Thanks to the wonderful accommodation (even prettier in real life) and the very warm and welcoming OMA team, 200% recommend this accommodation!

I have been in Sri Lanka for more than one month so far and I can definitely say that Hidden Villa is the best place I have ever been here so far! The apartment is very clean and fully equipped! It is located in a quiet area not far from the center (10-15 minutes walking along the tiny nice streets of the village) Sanath and his wife are amazing! They both make my stay unforgettable…on the last day they even left me stay longer while enjoying the pool that they keep with love and dedication. I will never forget you and thank you enough for these incredible days at your property! If I will be back in the future I will always choose you. In the meantime, I really suggest to stay with them! It really worths the money and the time ඔයාට ස්තූතියි 🙏❤️ Sara

I felt the location is awesome .The wind of the lagoon brings breezy ambience. The local cuisine is excellent giving individual attention .I felt the founder is promoting green concept at the location .The founder of the venue maintaince his key objective of establishing the resting place is to promote welbeing of both guests and also fellow villagers. i was inspired by the design ethos of the landscape of the villa.

The host are experienced hoteliers and very welcoming. The place itself is a paradise with a beautiful garden and nice pool to escape the heat. Would really highly recommend staying here! Unfortunate we only stayed for one night.
