We had a truly lovely stay! The room was cozy, the food was delicious, and the pool was exactly what we needed to relax. But the highlight was definitely our amazing host – so kind, helpful and always smiling. He really made us feel at home, and went above and beyond with every little request. This quiet little cottage was a perfect place to base ourselves for a few days while we explored Yala, Lunugamvehera, Udawalawe, and Ella. Our hosts, Gayan and his family, went above and beyond to ensure we had a happy and comfortable visit, and we were honored to be their first guests through Booking.com. Their kindnesses included such touches as providing us with limes from their own tree and preparing us a special breakfast (including delicious milk rice) on our first day. They also showed us around town and even helped my friend find a shop that had some particular things she was looking for. The property itself is cozy and beautiful. If you sleep in the front room (the one with the king bed and small bed), you can fall asleep to the sounds of the distant sea even with the windows closed. If you prefer a more silent night, you will find that in the back room (the one with the loft bed). The front room opens to the outdoor living space you see in the photos. It is a beautiful place to sit with your morning coffee or to relax in the afternoon. The back room and the kitchen open to the outdoors, and there is a paved walkway connecting the back room, the kitchen, and the outdoor living space. There are friendly dogs who will hang out with you on the property, but they do not enter the porch/living area or the rooms. They are sweet, calm, pleasant company. There's a good restaurant next door, which is convenient for dinner. You could cook in the well-prepared kitchen, but we did not do this during our stay. We also did not walk to town, although you probably could. The hosts are planning to add a couple more rooms to the property over time, but for now, it's just this one perfect little cottage. Much as the name suggests, Garnet Yala Beach truly is a gem. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place near the parks who wants a peaceful beachy spot hosted by a lovely family.

We had an amazing stay at Yala Green Eco Lodge! The location is perfect just a short distance from the entrance of Yala National Park, making it super convenient for early morning safaris. The lodge itself is beautiful, with a peaceful and eco-friendly atmosphere. The pool was fantastic, very clean and a perfect relaxing spot after a long day of exploring. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, well-maintained, and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. What truly made our experience special was the incredible staff. Everyone was so welcoming, helpful, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well located place to stay near Yala, I highly recommend Yala Green Eco Lodge! Would stay here again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It’s right next to the yala Nationalpark so perfect for all kinds of safaris. In addition it’s really quiet and the whole family is lovely. Santha is an amazing host with really great experience in safaris. If you want to see the yala Nationalpark with a great local guide he is your man.

    A great place to stay and would definitely recommend. Large comfortable room close to the pool, with restaurant and plenty of cold beer. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Anyone looking for a visit to the National Park should consider staying at Tringa and booking the tour with them as they will make sure you have a great experience.

    This place is true. The beach nearby is... powerful. That's the proper word, probably. Wasn't suitable for swimming when we stayed (very turbulent sea), but was one of the pearls of our trip. Very secluded, feels like edge if the world. Which it is, basically. Just for yourself. Well, maybe also for a few other wanderers who got here) beautiful surroundings, a temple on a cliff close by. Embrace the world. Utterly friendly guys running the place - can't name them "staff", not the proper word

    This was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka. The host family are lovely, going out of their way to assist where they can. The bungalow is large and very comfortable, the pool was fantastic after a big day. The hosts organised a safari for us including breakfast to take along. They had a small menu for dinner each night, all of which was delicious, especially the Sri Lankan food. The accommodation is only a short walk down to beach.

    Staff were very nice, rooms were very big, very clean, very comfy able. Good ac and hot water. Breakfast was simple but good. Eggs how you like on toast with jams and fruit. It is a bit out of the way which you expect in the area. There is a restaurant on site and if you have a tuktuk its not far to the beach etc.

    Very nice house in a colonial style located in beautiful garden. Nice to sit and eat on a terrace. An amazing beach just across the street. Tasty local curry for dinner. Elegantly served tea on a terrace. We definitely recommend stay in Kamlo.
