The owner is very helpful kind and accomodating. You can rent a scooter which is very useful to visit the area. Rooms are comfy clean and spacious. The fan is on the roof and is very silent. Wifi is good. Definitely reccomended

Located in a village alongside the village road, this accommodation offers a quiet and beautiful environment. Amenities are of a high standard, including AC, good network connectivity, and neat, well-maintained rooms. There is no restaurant on-site, but the main road is just an 8-minute auto ride away. A kitchen is also provided. There is no mosquito menace, and guests can expect to sleep well at night.

I didn't even know it was such a historical city, even...

I didn't even know it was such a historical city, even though I am Sri Lankan, until I visited there. It has a lot of historical places. Beautiful shallow sea with clean beaches. A lot of donkeys and birds to see. Authentic Sri Lankan food to taste.

Mannar was once a beautiful and unique part of Sri Lanka, but today it feels heavily polluted and overcrowded (especially in the town area), making it heartbreaking to see how this special landscape is being destroyed.

Mannar is town in the far north-west of Sri Lanka, there are not a lot of "tourist" things to do there. there is an 500-year-old dutch fort that got damaged during the civil war and a big tree. the people are fantastic and very friendly but don't speak as much English as "advertised" shopping is limited but really good value. Mannar is not a tourist town but it is real northern Sri Lanka so if you go there don't expect to be entertained. the food is great but once again it is standard Sri Lanka food there is nothing fancy. there is a western styled place that does pizza and burgers in town and is the most expensive place to eat, yet still is very affordable. Dont expect to find Air Conditioning in any of the stores. Tuk Tu's are always handy to get about town and buses can be caught to go see the sites further a field.
