Our stay at Mallara Rest Safari was truly incredible! If you're a nature lover, this place is an absolute must-visit. Babi and his staff are exceptionally hospitable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The accommodation itself is beautifully designed, blending perfectly with its surroundings. Right next to the property, we saw various animals passing by—during the day, water buffaloes and stunning birds, and at night, even elephants! The food was absolutely delicious, adding to the overall experience. Staying in the treehouse was magical—it allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in nature, listening to the soothing sounds of wildlife at night, which felt almost meditative. Babi also took us to explore different local spots, showing us breathtaking views and beautiful scenery that we wouldn't have found on our own. We also arranged a safari nearby, exploring the nearby Yala Block 5 and 6, where we were lucky enough to see leopards, elephants, and a variety of other animals. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable nature getaway!

Good environment At night you can various animals sound because this is thick ungle area. Early morning you can vast typeof birds and their songs specially peacock. You can see somany peacocks around the hotel. Very mind relax. You dont feel any stress. Their meel also very good vilage type. Rooms comfortable excellent .like 5* hotel.

Very comfortable and clean room, we had a very warm welcoming from Jayasingha, restaurant staff Vinuja and Chathura were super friendly, food was good and a very diversified menu, the hotel has a small gym we can use and a nice pool.

Excellent location. food was delicious made with love. we had dinner and breakfast, it was fabulous. Attentive staff, smiling and courteous. Beautiful decor throughout and attention to detail made our stay extra special. We only stayed 1 night before going to yala safari but would have loved to stay a little longer to enjoy this resort. the owner is a jolly fellow and made us feel welcome. Wonderful experience. Room was spacious and clean. The pool was also a nice touch. The staff were friendly and very helpful and organised the Yala safari for us through the hotel. Highly recommend for anyone coming to the area.

Room was very clean and comfortable!! The host is amazing! He took us on a free tour around the lake in the evening in his tuk tuk! He even arranged our safari in Yala for the following day. Would 100% recommend!

I have traveled a lot, but this family hotel is on my top list in the world. The nicest and friendliest people we met and very serviceminded. Our family had the hotel all to ourselves since its only 4 rooms. If you are going to Yala park, this is the best stay in my opinion. Very cheap but very high stabdard in rooms. Host arranged a very experienced safari guide and driver and we saw Leopards which was our goal in that park. My best recommendations!
