We were looking for accommodation near the katharagama and we encountered the accommodation of Diana and his husbands place. It is soooooo beautiful, a real pearl in the middle of a green jungle and a paddy field. Two EXCELLENT (((((!!) clean room equipped with everything you need, beautiful setting, beautiful room (we moved the outside bathroom). Diana and his husband are very helpful, very welcoming, open-minded and are excellent hosts. we were offered a local dinner on site (not too spicy for tourists), super good!!!. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. they organized the village Safari Tour for us free of charge. We had a great driver and a terrific safari. Excellent local breakfast! I recommend this hotel 100%. Unbeatable value for money! If we had not already booked an accommodation in galle, - we would have stayed another one or two nights. People. Good environment At night you can various animals sound because this is thick ungle area. Early morning you can vast typeof birds and their songs specially peacock. You can see somany peacocks around the hotel. Very mind relax. You dont feel any stress. Their meel also very good vilage type. Rooms comfortable excellent .like 5* hotel.

Very comfortable and clean room, we had a very warm welcoming from Jayasingha, restaurant staff Vinuja and Chathura were super friendly, food was good and a very diversified menu, the hotel has a small gym we can use and a nice pool.

Excellent location. food was delicious made with love. we had dinner and breakfast, it was fabulous. Attentive staff, smiling and courteous. Beautiful decor throughout and attention to detail made our stay extra special. We only stayed 1 night before going to yala safari but would have loved to stay a little longer to enjoy this resort. the owner is a jolly fellow and made us feel welcome. Wonderful experience. Room was spacious and clean. The pool was also a nice touch. The staff were friendly and very helpful and organised the Yala safari for us through the hotel. Highly recommend for anyone coming to the area.

We had great experience so far with Sri Lankan hospitality but Elegant Lake House took it to another level. The host was more than welcoming and kind to us and even gave us an excellent tour of the village and took us to the famous fruit bat migration place. They organized an excelent safari tour for us and made us a breakfast to take to safari at 4:30 in the morning. The room was great and comfortable with a beautifull view of the garden. Thank you Elegant Lake House for raising the bar of hospitality for us and making our stay more interesting.
