Our stay at Mallara Rest Safari was truly incredible! If you're a nature lover, this place is an absolute must-visit. Babi and his staff are exceptionally hospitable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The accommodation itself is beautifully designed, blending perfectly with its surroundings. Right next to the property, we saw various animals passing by—during the day, water buffaloes and stunning birds, and at night, even elephants! The food was absolutely delicious, adding to the overall experience. Staying in the treehouse was magical—it allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in nature, listening to the soothing sounds of wildlife at night, which felt almost meditative. Babi also took us to explore different local spots, showing us breathtaking views and beautiful scenery that we wouldn't have found on our own. We also arranged a safari nearby, exploring the nearby Yala Block 5 and 6, where we were lucky enough to see leopards, elephants, and a variety of other animals. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable nature getaway!

Good environment At night you can various animals sound because this is thick ungle area. Early morning you can vast typeof birds and their songs specially peacock. You can see somany peacocks around the hotel. Very mind relax. You dont feel any stress. Their meel also very good vilage type. Rooms comfortable excellent .like 5* hotel.

Wow, what a find Art Yala boutique resort is. If you want a a break away from the hustle and bustle of every day life this is the place to come.It’s hard to explain how beautiful and tranquil the view is from this fabulous resorts garden looking across the lake to the distant Buddhist temple, perfect for morning yoga. Madu the resort owner and his wonderful staff Nisal, Mahesh, Sampath and the outstanding Chef Indika looked after us like family. The fruit and tasty cooked food for dinner is all local produce. The rooms are very modern and spacious with all mod cons required. For a trip to the National Reserve Safari park. Madu can arrange everything for a full day or half day safari. Incredible host who took os out on a really nice evening tour! He arranged the safari for us the next day where we saw a leopard and elephant! He helped us get transportation to Mirissa as well the next day for a really good price! The view was beautiful and food was good. The location was a bit remote but really nice if you’re doing a safari. Can’t recommend enough:)

The owner is a fantastic man, he was very attentive and respectful. He helped organise transport to Yala and then from Yala, as well as our Safari. He got an excellent Safari driver, which is the key to a good Safari experience. The room was lovely, and dinners were brilliant too. The area has a lake nearby and the locals who live nearby are so welcoming and friendly. I wish we had stayed longer.

If you are looking for place where you will feel like home away, this is it! This family is incredible, and I honestly wish more people would be like them. On top of that food is great (they provided fully vegan breakfast for me), room is huge and super clean. Don't think twice stay here.

The host was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The breakfasts were delicious, and they even went above and beyond by assisting with transportation, arranging a safari, and taking me bird watching. Highly recommended!
