The property is beautifully situated on a lake. At sunset and sunrise you can walk there in a minute and see thousands of birds. We saw Ibis, 3 types of kingfishers, all kinds of herons, pelicans, and much more. There’s an open air restaurant on the property which is cosy and serves delicious food. We wanted to try the local lake fish (Koralli) and the owner gladly bought fresh ones and barbecued them for us. Super tasty!

Beautiful view of the falls, surrounded by tranquility. The family have put a lot of care and thought into making sure every guest has a great experience. Delicious dinner and breakfast! The owners brother took us up to the upper falls, definitely worth doing.

The exceptional staying exceeding all our expectations. Firstly, the hospitality our hosts- entire family. The real help and warmness we've received during our staying. It is skyhigh even by Sri Lanka standards. Secondly, the hotel is very close to the waterfall. We could depart very early and return in early evening. Our recommendation is that you book at least 3 days in Dilshan Hotel so that you can enjoy the waterfall and calmness of this location for some more time. Don't plan only one day here as on one day the waterfall may receive more visitors. We had 2 very fine days and one day with a crowd. Thirdly, the room and room was great. All very good value for money!
