The view was amazing, the house was great, spacious and had the same amazing clear view. The food was excellent and served beautifully. The staff was helpful and organized for us little trip to the 2nd highest waterfall which we can strongly recommend.

Amazing view in the middle of the tea plantation. 3 km away from centre of Haputale. Host was really helpful and arranged transportation for us to hike a section of the Pekoe trail. Extra blanket provided for the cooler nights. We had one dinner and one breakfast and both were delicious!

1. Location is good, 5-10 min walk from train station and restaurants 2. Owner is very accommodating and arranged tuk tuk at 4:45 to lipton’s seat for sunrise and packed breakfast with water for us. We walked down to the tea factory and took bus back to town. 3. Owner also recommended us how to take bus to our next destination to the coast! It was easy and saved us a lot of money. ( by car is 25000 rp and it costs 1500 rp for two ppl in the bus) though we don’t have suitcase but backpacks so ok for taking bus 4. The view is very nice though a lot of time is covered by clouds 5. Wifi and hot water work well. no fan/ac in the room but it was cold in March so i don’t think fan or ac needed 5. try green paradise restaurant which is good and cheap. The mint mist restaurant has a good view but more pricy

The photos do not do this justice. The place is stunning and the views are incredible. The staff were excellent and the meal was delicious. We appreciated the comfortable beds and warm bedding. The place is clean, beautiful and safe. Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely exceptional — endlessly courteous, genuinely kind, and always smiling. Nothing was ever too much trouble. A wonderful group of young lads and girls eagerly helped with our luggage and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Sandun, the manager, made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible showing every courtesy along the way, and adding his own personal touch with getting involved in the games and activities 😊🤗 What truly made the experience special was their warmth and hospitality. We were invited to join in games, from playing Carrom to enjoying a fun game of street cricket 🏏, creating memories filled with laughter and connection 👏🫶😆. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with good air conditioning ensuring a pleasant stay. The hotel’s location is perfect — just a short distance from Horton Plains, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The views from Icy Falls Hotel are absolutely breathtaking. On clear days, the far-reaching scenery is incredible. The hotel does sit within the clouds at times, but this only adds to the magic and atmosphere — certainly no cause for complaint. The food was absolutely delicious 😋, and all facilities were spotlessly clean and well looked after. I can recommend Icy Falls Hotel without any hesitation whatsoever. We truly arrived as guests but left as lifelong friends — friendships I will cherish forever ❤️❤️❤️.
