The landscape is amazing, with a beautiful view on the lake full of swans, ducks and waterlelies. You can use the catamaran or rowing boat and the huge garden offers many areas to relax. The house itself is nicely designed and offers everything you need. We had a lot of fun with the old-fashioned LP player. The Russian bagna experience was absolutely unique and we felt completely relaxed. A big thank you to the wonderful owners!

Absolutely delightful stay in the old kolkhoz headquarters. Pilskalne is as peaceful as it gets and the bulding has been lovingly renovated and kept very clean by the warm and friendly owner Lidija who was waiting for me to check in. Daughter Vita was also there to greet me and translate the interesting history of the place. The two women really made me feel at home. I had a fantastic sleep in the very comfortable bed of the Agronom room which stayed very cool even in warm weather. The hostel like building has a shared bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Upstairs Lidija has created a little museum room with interesting documents and items from the Soviet era. Outside there is a garden area with seating. Such fantastic value for money. Thank you Lidija and Vita ❤️.
