Very nice and helpful stuff. Great value for the money.
- The city is not very interesting and people are not as nice as in the country parts of Myanmar. - But there are interesting things around the city.- - There are higher prices, especially restaurants, but there are many options for cheap street food. -
Kaunis alue, vanha englantilainen tyyli, on top of a mountain. Buddhist place very peaceful & beautiful area. Very cheap & good beer & coffee! Scenic waterfalls, gardens, horse & carriage tours. Many restaurants. Base for backpacking, hiking, etc. BOTANICAL GARDENS are amazing & there is a huge tower by the big lake that looks like a Moomin house!!!!!
lovely hill station with amazing garden. relaxed atmosphere. many mediations centres have their branches here because of cool climate and fresh air. enjoy feel restaurant at the small lake and visit the main pagoda.
POL is such a neat town in Myanmar, small, but HUGE with experiences. Our group loved going to December Garden, where they have 2 waterfalls, rafts that you personally canoe to the waterfall, 5-6 sitter bikes, excellent places to take in nature. we also enjoyed the new night market in POL - with at least 60 food vendors - great taste of all foods and snacks famous to Myanmar!
I enjoyed the change of scenery that Pyin Oo Lwin offered me. My friend and I were only there one night and had to leave early in the morning for our next stop, we wish we could have stayed one or two nights longer to have a proper look around the town. We enjoyed walking along the circular road and viewing the old-style houses. The morning was cool and our motorbikes wouldn't start for some time.
We go for the Botanical Gardens where it is possible to soak up the green and just forget about city life. Surprised to be faced by a curious gibbon with very distinguished white eyebrows on our last visit! Also, fantastic and cheap Southern Indian food is plentiful - my first time eating Dosas and most definitely not my last.
