ItalyThere are no words to describe this incredible experience at Mathiveri, a small island with simple but very kind and hospitable inhabitants. It has magnificent beaches with free sun loungers and swings, an easily accessible sand island, and a soothing sense of tranquility.
Staying at Velana Vibes made us feel at home. Munzir, the owner, was always available to meet any request or need. We could use the kitchen, fully equipped for preparing our meals, the lounge area for working or enjoying conversations with friends, the machine ready for free coffee and tea at any time, and safe drinking water was always available. We are certain that Velana Vibes is the most well-maintained accomodation on the island -new and aesthetically the most beautiful, with very spacious rooms with large bathrooms and all the necessary comforts. Munzir also runs a minimarket, and his stepmother owns a souvenirs shop, ensuring that guests have access to everything they might need. He personally arranged our speedboat transfer from and to Malé, picked us up at the port, and took us back with luggage transportation included. On the first day, he even organized a mini-kart tour of the island, as a courtesy from him, so we could get to know it better.
Munzir is supported by Imma, the talented chef who prepared our breakfasts and meals on deserted islands (even for special dietary needs), as well as an excellent organizer and tour guide for customized and private excursions.
What really made this experience truly magical was feeling among friends, having evening conversations with Imma and Munzir, who gave us advice, clarified doubts, and helped us understand the local customs, culture, and history. They shared jokes with us and even taught us a few words in their language. On the morning of our departure, we received a wonderful surprise: a delicious chocolate cake with 'We will miss you" written on it. It left us speechless. Baraabaru!

United KingdomI have been looking for cheap, simple but comfortable accommodation and I definitely found it! Ever Blue Guest House has only 4 rooms with share livingroom and also terrace dinning and kitchen which I could use.
Room:
comfortable bed (I like hard mattress), small fridge, TV, AC, fan, hairdryer, spacious bathroom with toilet, towels, beach towel, drying rack, daily water. What else do you wish for? Room was daily cleaned which I didn’t need.
Breakfast:
They always asked me what time I would like to have a breakfast and what would I like to have (I am not breakfast person plus have GF diet). I end up just with eggs and fruit but have been offered pancakes, sausages etc.
Kitchen and dining area:
I could use the kitchen and make my own food, coffee, tea.
The great addition are also ceiling fans in dining area (they are actually everywhere) as when it’s really hot and humid this helps massively.
I have to say huge thank you to the owner for helping me when weather was extremely bad and public boat was cancelled. He managed to find a private boat to take me to my next island.
It was lovely to talk to him every evening and learn about his family, life on the island and much more.

RomaniaSimply put, we had a wonderful stay. The hotel is probably the best you can get in Mathiveri. It is brand new, with very nice, bright, well equipped, and clean rooms. The personnel did their best to make our stay great. The included breakfast was excellent, with plenty of quality food. Dinner can be also served at the hotel, and it was delicious (offers wider selection, but we focused mainly on grilled reef fish). Good restaurants nearby. The hotel has a convenient location, too. The 3 minutes’ walk to the bikini beach (which is amazing!) through a very nice forest path (that offers protection from sun burns). Highly recommended.

SloveniaI honestly don’t even know where to begin. This was the best accommodation experience of my life. The value for money is absolutely incredible, what you get for the price is far beyond expectations. The rooms are large, spacious, and beautifully designed, making you feel comfortable and at home from the very first moment.
The restaurant upstairs is another highlight, a spacious terrace with a stunning sea view, excellent food, and very reasonable prices. Every meal was a pleasure.
But above all, I have to praise the staff. Truly wonderful, warmhearted people with soul. They went above and beyond for us. We spent a lot of time talking, getting to know each other, and building genuine connections. I have honestly never met such kind, sincere people who wish you nothing but the best. You can feel their warmth and authenticity the moment you speak with them, they truly love people and help you with genuine care and knowledge. Leaving was incredibly difficult.
We also went on an excursion and we had a private manta ray snorkeling experience. It was absolutely perfect, total peace, just the two of us, and an entire boat to ourselves. I think it’s extremely rare to experience this level of luxury in the local Maldives.
La Pearl, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this unforgettable experience. We will carry it with us forever. 💛💛💛

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Aqua Heaven Inn, and it truly exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. They met me at the ferry station and ensured a smooth transfer to the hotel, and they even arranged a speedboat for both my arrival and departure from the airport. It was all very convenient and stress-free.
I had a half-board booking, which included both breakfast and dinner. Personally, I found the food to be fantastic and just the right amount. The meals were always fresh, flavorful, and reflective of the local Maldivian cuisine. The atmosphere during meals was intimate and relaxed, often with views of the beautiful surroundings.
The room itself was very comfortable. The A/C worked perfectly, keeping the room cool after a long day under the sun. The furniture and amenities were all brand new, which made my stay even more enjoyable. It was clear that the hotel prioritizes comfort and quality.
Aqua Heaven Inn also offers a variety of day trips, and I highly recommend trying them out. The underwater world in this part of the Maldives is absolutely stunning, and exploring the nearby reefs was one of the highlights of my trip. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to help organize the best excursions.
Overall, I was incredibly happy with everything Aqua Heaven Inn had to offer. It’s a beautiful, well-run guest house with excellent service, amazing food, and unforgettable experiences. I wouldn’t hesitate to return! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable Maldivian getaway.

Mathiveri is a wonderful island with an amazing natural environment and truly kind people.
The island is peaceful, green, and surrounded by a beautiful, clear ocean. The beaches and nature feel untouched and very calming.
What makes Mathiveri special is its people - warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. You feel welcome everywhere, and the atmosphere is sincere and relaxed.
A perfect place to enjoy nature, simplicity, and the true spirit of the Maldives.

Mathiveri is a small, calm island with a very natural, local...
Mathiveri is a small, calm island with a very natural, local feel. Life moves slowly here, which makes it easy to truly rest and disconnect. The beach is just across the street and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and quiet walks.
Snorkeling trips were a highlight - clear water, turtles, reef life, and respectful guides who care about the ocean.
There are several water activities available, including kayaking, banana boat rides, jet ski rental, and wakeboarding behind a jet ski.
If you’re looking for luxury, nightlife, or crowds, this is not the place. But if you want peace, nature, water activities, and a real island atmosphere, Mathiveri is a great choice.

Mathiveri is a small island, with plenty of good quality accommodation and restaurants to choose from. It is one of the quieter Islands that can be accessed by speed boat, but it still offers snorkeling and diving day trips.

A Wonderful Beach Holiday.
A Wonderful Beach Holiday. Necessary structure: shops and cafes are available. The ability to pay with a bank card, as well as in cash (USD, MVR). Good exchange rate in all places. I was pleased with both Mathiveri and Mathiveri Finholu: the beaches are clean, the sand does not burn your feet, and there is a comfortable "coolness" in the shade of the trees.

Too much garbage on the island.
Too much garbage on the island. I also saw a sewage pipe releasing waste into the sea just off the beach which looked like human excrement...also too many signs saying "no bikinis".. There were no stingrays at stingray beach. Lazy people not putting their empty plastic bottles in the bins.
Good points about Mathiveri;
Lots of birds signing in the trees adding that tropical feel to the place.
Lots of beautiful palm trees everywhere you go.

The sandy beaches here are really beautiful.
The sandy beaches here are really beautiful. There is an easy access to the sandbank - depending on actual ocean current it is possible to swim there or rent a kayak. There is not so much places for snorkelling as there are not corals on the beaches. There is just one spot accessible from the Picnic island (sandbank).
