Everything was perfect: the big room was equipped with everything, Smart TV, kitchen, sofa, very comfortable beds and newly renovated bathroom. In short, it is highly recommended for those looking for a classy place close to all amenities. A special mention goes to Lora, who picked us up at the airport and took care of us throughout our stay.

Our stay at One&Only Maldives was simply exceptional and exceeded all of our expectations.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the outstanding service, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality of the entire team. Everything was absolutely spotless and maintained to perfection. Everyone was extremely kind,helpful and fast in everything,which is rare in Maldives.Every detail seemed carefully considered and flawlessly executed.
One of the highlights was the incredible food. The resort offers an impressive variety of healthy dining options, different restorants,the menu including vegetarian dishes, fresh seafood, all kind of meats, and something delicious for every taste. We especially loved the healthy desserts and the overall focus on wellness and nutritious cuisine.
The spa experience was outstanding. The facilities are world-class, featuring a beautiful sauna, steam room, and cold plunge pool.The gym was also super good,Kids club as well. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to the two therapists who gave me my massages. Unfortunately, I cannot remember their names, but both ladies and their treatments were exceptional, and I was extremely satisfied with their professionalism and expertise.I personally recommend their face lifting massage.A special thank you goes to our host, Taya, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and always available to assist us with anything we needed. She truly made our stay even more special.
We were also fortunate to enjoy wonderful weather throughout our visit, which made the entire experience even more perfect.
It is very rare for me to find nothing to criticize, as I can be quite demanding when it comes to travel experiences. However, at One&Only, everything was simply outstanding. The resort not only met our expectations but surpassed them in every way.
Thank you to the entire One&Only team for creating such an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back.

After our holiday in the Maldives was coming to an end, we decided to stop by Joali Maldives for one night on our way home, just to check out this magical place we had heard so much about.
Where do I even begin…
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and introduced to the island by our amazing Jadugar, Raai. He made the orientation engaging and inspiring, and throughout our stay ensured everything felt effortless — always anticipating our needs and making things happen before we even had to ask.
We were then taken to our water villa, which was spacious, very private, and cosy. A special thank you to Nawaf, the Rooms Division Manager, for making sure everything related to our villa and comfort was perfectly arranged, including our special requests.
Very quickly we realised one night would not be enough, and we extended our stay for four more days.
During our stay, we were invited to sunset cocktails with the management — one of the highlights. We met General Manager Shifaz, his Assistant Adam, as well as Nawaz and Anas. We kept seeing them throughout our stay, always attentive and making sure everything was perfect. Many other team members also contributed greatly, even if we didn’t catch all the names.
The culinary experience was outstanding. Under the management of Alito, all four restaurants delivered at a high level. The variety and quality were impressive, and Baka was always nearby with great recommendations — thank you again for the special cocktails that you kindly offered to us.
We also really enjoyed the dishes prepared by Sous Chef Gamze, especially the shashlik — so tasty that we even asked for the recipe.
Sommelier James was excellent — knowledgeable and attentive.
Overall, the experience felt warm, personal, and almost family-like.
We would wholeheartedly recommend this magical place and will surely come back.

I had a paid stay in a Lagoon Beach Pool Villa for 3 days with full board included, as well as seaplane transfer to the resort and a domestic flight back to Malé.
Unfortunately, my flight from Istanbul to Malé was delayed by 5 hours, so I arrived in Malé at 5:30 PM, when it was no longer possible to transfer to the resort the same day. While still in Istanbul, I tried to contact the resort through all available options on Booking.com (message, email, and phone), but unfortunately, no one responded.
When we landed in Malé, we went to counter A17 as previously instructed. There, a resort representative was waiting for us and escorted us to a speedboat, which took us to alternative accommodation on North Malé Atoll at Villa Nautica (regular Beach Villa room). Although the resort was nice, it is nowhere near as beautiful as Villa Park and cannot really be compared to it.
After check-in, we were provided with a buffet dinner and a modest breakfast the next morning. The agent then escorted us to the seaplane terminal in Malé, and after waiting for about two hours, we finally departed for the resort.
I am writing this mainly for future travelers who might experience flight delays and worry about not being able to reach the resort at the scheduled time. There is no need to worry — a resort representative will wait for you at the previously agreed meeting point at Malé Airport and arrange alternative accommodation if necessary.
Our stay at Villa Park was otherwise an unforgettable and truly beautiful experience. The Lagoon Beach Pool Villa is truly paradise on earth — stunning nature, incredibly friendly staff, and excellent food. What more could anyone wish for?
I truly and deeply hope I will have the chance to return and stay there again one day.

Very kind stuff and everything was perfectly organized. Stuff was all the time available to help with whatever we needed. Altrough it was windy season they put extraordinary effort to keep all the facilities clean and safe. I read some reviews here that people experienced problem with connection, communication or stuff communication. Obviously Kandima put a lot of effort to improve all that as we didn't experience any problem during our stay. All inclusive was a great value. We had great time at dinners in restaurants Smoked, Sea Dragon and Azure. Also main restaurants were very clean and food was good. Not so many chlices if you expect European food only, but fish and seafood was great.
Also, beach jacuzzi villa was great value with direct access to the beach ans very big jacuzzi. Overall, bathroom was like mini spa center.
This is our 5th time in Maldives and this is one of the best experience especially as we traveled with a small kid (<2yo).

Our stay at Ayada Maldives was absolutely amazing. The location is stunning, and everything about the resort was perfect, but what truly made this experience unforgettable was the staff.
Every morning we looked forward to breakfast mainly because of the head chef Tulshi, who always made our mornings special. In the evenings, we couldn’t wait for dinner thanks to the chef at Magu who prepared desserts for us every evening, including his delicious homemade ice cream.
We loved coming back to our room thanks to our wonderful housekeeper Nasrin, who was always kind, helpful, gave us great advice, and enjoyed chatting with us, which made us feel truly at home.
A very special thank you also goes to our butler Rolando, who took excellent care of us and made our stay even more comfortable. This resort is a true paradise, and the people working there are what make it truly exceptional. We can’t wait to come back.

We had an amazing time at Velassaru! The hotel is absolutely beautiful — everything from the beaches to the landscape is perfectly maintained. What really stood out to us was the staff: everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed.
Our bungalow was incredible, we stayed in an overwater bungalow with a private pool, and it was just perfect. The view was amazing, especially at sunset, and we loved being able to jump straight into the sea or relax in the pool in total privacy. The coral reef just in front was a great spot for snorkeling!
The food was great, and we especially loved the fact that they serve cava at breakfast — such a nice touch!

Everything was exceptional. Our room was prepared every evening for 'wind down', the staff were all very friendly. Meals at the buffet restaurant and ala carte restaurants were beyond expectations. The all-inclusive package was very worth it, although there's only so much we could eat! I love the quietness and exclusivity of the 700+ over-water villas, and we witnessed the most gorgeous sunsets and sunrise at the resort. Ermie as the head butler was fantastic, very responsive on requests and personally supported proposal "white lies". Rajesh and Dewi from the restaurant remembers each guests' preferences and were attentive to our needs. Housekeeping was consistent and kept room clean, had turn down service. It is a very compact city, and it is very easy to get to...
It is a very compact city, and it is very easy to get to from the airport. We stayed overnight because we were heading to a resort the next day. This was the right amount of time to explore and chill. We stumbled upon the Friday Mosque trying to find Meraki coffeehouse. Talk to the guides. They are very knowledgeable, and the mosque is free to enter at several times across the day. The gardens have some unusual flowers, and not only the tombs if Maldivian sultans but also the first president. Across the street is the President's residence. It's just a beautiful building. On the other side of the Mosque, you will also find the President's office. Meraki is a modern, rather hip coffeehouse serving an interesting range of coffee drinks - and they do some food. The Sultan's Park is a wonderful place to chill, and if you have children, to explore and play. Visit the fish market in the late afternoon. You will see lots of locals meeting here, as well as fishermen returning to harbour with their catches. Walk through the labyrinthine markets. If you're lucky, a seller may offer you some salty kipper to try. Finally, there's a dive shop along the front, where you can buy some more sophisticated souvenirs. If you choose the Samaan Grand, you'll get to hear the call to prayer from two mosques, one being the Blue Mosque, which is just a minute's walk away.

As they are all small islands, I could have tried out another one whilst I was there. Or changed it up and gone to a luxury resort for 2 nights to have the best of both worlds. Apparently most people do this. This island is very affordable to stay on. There are a few small supermarkets for basic food - don't expect to stock up for your apartment. Eating out is affordable. I found a hotel called The Stone Hotel which was higher rated than mine. I ate there a couple of nights for $30, a great selection of buffet food. Very tasty. The hotel is lovely; I would have preferred my stay to be there.
The beach is right next to their hotel. I did experience a bit of a sting when I went in the water one day, which, I was told, could have been from the seaweed. Tiny jelly fish? I spent my sunbathing time on bikini beach - lush!!
Snorkelling and dolphin trips do not guarantee sightings. If you go to a luxury island, they have access to these glorious mammals in abundance - do these trips there if you are going to go.
If you are going to take the journey here, I strongly advise you make the effort to go to a luxury island.

The overall experience was excellent!
The overall experience was excellent! One of the best things is that it is not too far from Malé, and the 50-minute speedboat transfer was very convenient. It was truly a wonderful experience, and the Maldives is definitely a must-visit destination!

Maafushi isn't like any other islands in the Maldives.
Maafushi isn't like any other islands in the Maldives. It has a young, fun vibe to it. There are lots of hotels and guesthouses to choose from whatever your budget. You can have your pick of water sport activities too with access to other local islands and day trips for diving and snorkelling. There are lots of good restaurants. Bear in mind, that it is a Muslim country so best not to walk around the streets half naked, but they are tolerant. The bikini beaches are very nice with sunbeds. You may need to buy a drink to have one for the day if you aren't staying at one of the nearby hotels. Access to Maafushi is about 45/50 minutes from the airport or Male with local speedboats and a regular ferry service.

I enjoyed pretty much everything.
I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.

If you are interested in snorkel and diving is not perhaps the best option since there no a quality front reef. But there are many activities to do

Dhigurah is a nice local island.
Dhigurah is a nice local island. There are many good restaurants and small supermarkets. Outside of the village there are many public (bikini) beaches and there's a beautiful path to the sandbank that runs along the jungle. We highly tecommend renting a scooter for more flexibility.

I returned to Hulhumale after 15 years.
I returned to Hulhumale after 15 years. It has transformed from a quite little "frontier town" to a modern Islamic South Asian City. The city is well planned, and well maintained. Excellent for shopping and experience the local culture. Many restaurants with local, Western, South Asian and South East Asian food options. Transport facilities excellent. You can easily catch a taxi by standing at road side or by using the app. Hulhumale is now connected with Male and Airport with bridges so you can drive there or use the old-fashioned ferry service. Beach is beautiful and very clean.

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in...
I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement.
The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)!
Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!).
I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive!
Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus.
Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!
