Located in the heart of the Chichen Itza Archaeological Park, this world-class jungle resort offers extensive tropical gardens, 3 outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub and spa treatments. Everything has been absolutely perfect. Very nice place with a wonderful atmosphere close to Chichén-Itzá archeological monuments with their private entry to see them. The restaurant and any services were also excellent.
Offering free WiFi, La Casa de las Lunas offers accommodation in Chichén-Itzá. Free private parking is available on site. really cute and quiet, pool was nice for a refresher from the heat. The staff was helpful - they went above and beyond. They were also very patient and helpful with our broken Spanish.
Situated on the main street of the charming village of Pisté, this renovated colonial-style hotel is less than 1.5 km from the famous Chichen Itza ruins. I absolutely love staying at this hotel. It is a small, super clean and comfortable hotel with a very nice pool, where you can jump into after visiting the pyramids for example or just stay a day there enjoying it. The rooms have a great size and are really clean. And the staff... everybody is sooooo nice and willing to help and always with a big smile! The other great thing is that it is actually so near to the pyramids that you can actually walk there. It’s only about 2.5 km., so no need to take the car and pay for the parking. Ermilo, at the front desk is always smiling and is incredibly nice. Thank you!!!
This eco-friendly resort is located within the Mayan city of Chichen Itza that can be reached through a property's private entrance. Incredible grounds, beautiful and serene. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help. The gentleman at the desk was particularly patient and skilled. An incredible 5 am tour, accessing the grounds of Chichen Itza before th crowds, Loved that there was no tv or wifi in the rooms...helped me connect to the nature and be there.
This luxury hotel offers spacious accommodation, nestled in the incredible Chichen Itza archaeological site. It is surrounded by a lush natural environment filled with exotic wildlife. The nice glass of cold beverage upon arrival. The proximity to Chichen Itza and the reasonable rate were extra bonuses for this very nice hotel.
This bungalow complex is a 5-minute drive from the Chichen Itza Ruins. It features 2 outdoor pools and is 10 minutes’ walk from Ik Kil Cenote, a sacred natural pool with waterfalls. Nice ambience, lovely outside relaxing areas, family run, very tidy ship!

My 3rd time visiting Chichen Itsa and it is still breath taking when you arrive! A tip for locals; it is free for Mexican students and teachers (even if you are a foreigner but study or teach here and can prove it) on Sunday's it's free for all Mexicans so if you are a foreign tourist perhaps visit a different day when it's not as busy!!
Full of history. Discoveries at this sites are an evolving field of research. Amazing pyramid well restored. A guide is very advised. Go at hour of opening to avoid the hot sun. Rent a car if you eant to discover surtounding archeological sites in the state of yucatan ( there are many). Many Cenotes ( natural wells) are also amazing attractions. There are also many caves for speleology lovers.
Over hyped, over priced, lacking in any atmosphere due to the virtually constant merchandising. Impossible to find any information about how to visit for the Autumn Equinox. I suspect that due to the expensive sound and light show it probably isn't possible to actually view the Equinox just to see a."recreation of it" during the show. As a budget traveller, I'd say, save your money, go-to Coba to climb a pyramid,or Comalcamco or even Teotihuacan, go to Uxmal for impressive carvings and temples you can walk through and go to any of the smaller sites (Tula, Mitla, Muyil) for atmosphere.
Loved my time at Chichen Itza. Would definitely recommend getting there for opening. We arrived approximately 815 and there was no line up to get it plus we could take pictures without people in them. When leaving at approximately 1000 the place was getting busier with quite a few tour groups around. Entrance fee and guide prices are a little high but guides aren’t really necessary if you do a little reading beforehand and read each sign - they’re in English as well. Plenty of vendors setting up when we walking around although they didn’t bother us too much - I assume going later when more tour groups are around and they’ve set up properly would be a completely different story. Onsite facilities were great with ATM, restaurants and a marketplace. Easy to find a taxi to take you to Ik Kil or into town. Would definitely recommend going to Ik Kil after the ruins, just arrive before 1130. We were there just after 1000 and only had to share this beautiful Cenote with 5 others! Get up early, you won’t regret it!
La visite du site dès 8 heures, pour éviter la chaleur et les groupes de touristes ;-) Attention, on nous a demandé une ID pour payer avec notre carte bancaire a l entrée. Prévoir plutôt du cash.
Don't miss it! On Mondays in low season they do not have a light and sound show. Visit the site early when it opens to avoid crowds, heat and vendors. Do hire a guide that is easily available at the entrance

Secluded, totally relaxing, helpful staff, excellent food and quality ingredients (!) with a distinct Yucatán flair, very comfortable beds and rooms, big pool, a must stay for a visit to Chichen Itza as it’s so convenient (get the private tour with Jaime and go early at 8.30am). We arrived exhausted from a long flight and transfer from UK and this hotel was no stress at all. We felt immediately comfortable, welcomed and relaxed.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic - a short taxi/walk from Chichen Itza. It's got a fantastic pool and restaurant in a great setting. The staff were some of the nicest and friendliest we've met. The rooms are great with air-con and are comfortably large enough
