The hotel is very close to Chichen-Itza - just 5 minutes drive from there. The design of the hotel is really great - you kind of get into a hacienda-style building - pretty large (probably the largest compared to other hotels I saw nearby). There is a pretty large pool inside the hotel. The rooms are perfect to spend a night before visiting Chichen-Itza. There is a restaurant in the hotel with quite an vast menu, including food for kids and national cuisine, so we did not need to go anywhere after a 2.5 hour drive from Cancun. So, a very good choice if you are visiting Chichen-Itza and would like to get into a truly archeological vibe of those lands. As a recommendation (not a dislike but rather an advise) - if you include the restaurant menu in here and into your website, I think that might persuade more people to choose your hotel. And you are worth it because our dinner at your hotel's restaurant was really great!

This hotel was such a wonderful place to be. Set back from the main road, with all the buildings nestled in the trees. We stayed in the suite and it was so lovely for the price. Staff were very helpful and sweet. The upper pool area was very relaxing and we had lunch served to the beach beds. Not sure what’s going on with the bigger lower pool, looked a bit dilapidated but didn’t bother us because we used the other one. You need a car there. We went to Chichenitza one morning at 8:30 and beat the crowds, it’s about 10 mins away by car.

The place is a very nice flat in a small piece of jungle with mango, maracuja, avocado, lemon and orage trees. The breakfast is fantastic served by the host on a table outside under the trees. And the host is one of the most friendly, genuine and wellcoming we have ever experienced. The is a stone in the garden where it is written "" kindness is my religion' and he applies it as heartfelt. We had a house with kitchen and garden and two bathrooms plus additional toilet at our disposal and were very happy with our stay. Private parking and a quiet neighbourhood. It was the perfect place for us - we could prepare our own breakfast and dinner after a long day out. We loved it and would go back any time.

The site is over-hyped as it's relatively close to Cancún. There are lots of tour buses there, The site allows hawker stalls both inside and outside the site, which detract from the overall impression of the Maya buildings. Other sites (such as Uxmal) are more impressive.

We were here many years ago and arrived at 8am to enjoy a quiet site. Now while still a wonderful site, it is crowded from opening time with coaches arriving at 10am. No access to any buildings - We climbed before but numbers and safety preclude that now It is hotter and all the grass has gone so its dusty. Many souvenir stalls everywhere make it colourful perhaps but change the atmosphere. Most people will still want to visit this iconic site which is still amazing with the large number of buildings. My advice is go to Uxmal instead - much quieter, more access, cooler, no souvenir stalls. Allow time there and you can stay close by and then visit 3 other sites easily

Chichen Itza is a well attended Mayan Ruin - there are many tour buses arriving and plenty of guides to hire to share some of the more important buildings within the complex. We ended up with a small guided group for English speakers and learned about 3 of those buildings. Plenty of food/drink stands inside and a plethora of vendors throughout the complex.

Over all the stay was great, hacienda was beautiful staff was not the best customer service! Waiters were great receptionist were not attentive perhaps they made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome! Would I go again yes! Hacienda was beautiful, and I will definitely go back just because of the comfort, and I would like to spend more time to enjoy the pool and peaceful feeling. I would also go back to try the spa, si ce I didn’t have the time. If I go back and I receive the same customer service from receptionists might go to another spa!

Unfortunately, whoever administers the Chichen Itza archeological site has made the unfortunate judgment to permit vendors on the grounds. This has created a circus atmosphere that is simply terrible. When we visited in 2002 the vendors were restricted to the parking lot, which make the experience in the ruins much better. We visited Edzna on this trip, and there was not a single vendor at the site. We also visited Ek Balam, and there were only five or six vendors permitted just at the entrance. I realize that Chichen Itza is the big draw, so if you have never been be sure to get there just as they open so you can get out well before the buses arrive.

Get there early to avoid the lines.

Get there early to avoid the lines. Car Parking a bit confused, I used on of the private spots on the way to Chichen Itza its about a 5 minute walk, surprisingly it was only 80peso compared to the very crowded official one at 160 peso. the monuments are in exceptional condition. There are many official guides but unless you want a very detailed tour I wouldn't bother. The massive number of souvenir sellers detracts from the site, they are all basically sell the same stuff. However unlike other parts of the world they aren't pushy.

we had two lovely bungalows, and the simple but cozy interior and setting withthe small porch and the pool with loungechairs was just great to cool down after the day in the car, sightseeing Chichen Itza (10 min away). we stayed 2 nights and also got great tips (Cenote) from our hosts, even the tourgide was a family member - that was fantastic! we will defenitely recommend this place. in the morning there was coffee and fruit and pastry, before having a bigger breakfast in town. all was in walking distance, as Piste is quite small.

This is a little gem of a hotel don’t be put off by the frontage when you arrive. The rooms have doors onto the lovely courtyard with beautiful plants pool and birds singing. Our room was comfortable with sofa , good showers, everything we needed for an overnight stay and Chichén Itzá visit. There is an area where they provide water and tea making facilities and in the morning there was coffee and cake - all included in the price. Staff were helpful and smiling.

This is alright place to stay for one night. It’s very close to the Chichén Itzá ruins. My room was cleaner than I expected and general impression was much better than I read in other reviews. Hotel needs some renovation, it looks tired. The pool is fine though it is only one meter deep. It gives you some refreshment after a hot day in Chichén Itzá. Restaurant has minimal selection of dishes but the food I chose was tasty and good.

We only spent one night so that we could be at Chichen Itza first thing in the morning, it was ideal for this and a good basic hotel for the cost. Comforts or bed and ver6 clean.
