Breakfast was AMAZING! Compliments to the chef! We were excited to have breakfast. The tea verde was delicious. I even asked the staff where i could buy it. The Owner is french really nice Guy! Heads off to Pablo & Adriana/staff and chef. They are so friendly and welcoming. Service is amazing. The cleaning ladies gave us every single day 2 bottles of water. We slept like a baby. The bed is feels like a cloud. Parking space was close by 2min walk. Dont hesitate to book this hotel!

Great accommodation- I would highly recommend not only are the rooms cute, the grounds are beautiful - the food is so good & really reasonably priced. Everything we ate was delicious and the drinks esp cocktails are so much cheaper than other places. We also really enjoyed the cave & pool and the massage was one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff also organised a private guide for 2hrs at Chichen Itza- Roami was great, we learnt lots from him.

Stay here if you are in Valladolid! Great location, helpful and kind staff, clean room, comfortable beds and nice lounge areas. Great breakfast and good dinner included. The garden is well kept and very nice to hang out in. We booked the wedding suite (Sisal room) that has a bathtub, there are also two more pools at the hotel. Much more personal option to a large hotel, really recommend it!

The Uxmal tren mayo hotel is hidden in the forrest about 5 miles from the mayan temples. The location middle in the forrest is very nice. The hotel has a nice open architecture, a bar and restaurant, billard, table tennis, table football and a gym. The outdoor pool was very nice and we had it all to ourselves. We had dinner and it was very good. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful and made our stay perfect!

Me and my girlfriend loved this place. It was better for me than the pictures. The rooms were simple but well designed and timeless. The lobby was warm and greeting. Access to the pool was right out our bedroom door. The pool was clean and well lit while it was open till 10 and food and drink service at the poolside restaurant/bar was delicious. We had 2 Yucatan style authentic tacos and they were delicious. All of the staff were very kind and friendly and made us feel extremely welcome and taken care of.

Stunning resort - the site is extremely peaceful, with thoughtful reuse of historic details, and the villas feel very private. Bicycles and the early morning coffee are a lovely touch. If you can stay in the city center try to find a property...

If you can stay in the city center try to find a property that offers onsite parking. My experience with my Airbnb host was that if I asked her for recommendations there was a hidden surcharge fee. I brought this up to her that she should be upfront about this side hustle she has going on (initially charged $150mxn at a different parking lot but because of host Airbnb recommendation fee increased to $230mxn). No need to ask for recommendations go to tourist office corner of town by the end of the churchyard. Standard parking overnight fee is $150mxn (parking lot by Don Luis hotel is very good and helpful attendants). Uayma cenote is 15 min drive away not as busy and beautiful and long staircase down so not recommended if you have knee issues. Don’t miss Xtopek bee tour -we all enjoyed learning about local bee and how honey is produced.

Progreso is a very nice city, clean, safe and amazing.

Progreso is a very nice city, clean, safe and amazing. The malecon is fabulous, long and have the museum of meteorite. On the side of the malecon, there're some nice restaurants. The sea is warm and with only small waves. There're no dogs on the beach. And around 4 pm, the wind blows each day. I like so much that city, I'll return. Mérida is close and there're big buses at each 15 minutes to join Progreso and it costs only 28 pesos, $2. US And Mérida have an international airport brand new.

The site is over-hyped as it's relatively close to Cancún. There are lots of tour buses there, The site allows hawker stalls both inside and outside the site, which detract from the overall impression of the Maya buildings. Other sites (such as Uxmal) are more impressive.

We loved Izamal, it's such a beautiful city and the people are super friendly. Even the guy selling fresh juice in the town square was really friendly, yelling out good morning. Charming coastal beach town.

Charming coastal beach town. The area has a very low population density and retains its authentic Mexican charm. We made our way from Washington, DC to Merida and then took a drive of about 60 minutes to reach Sisal. The property is located to the west of the town center. While it's possible to walk downtown, the sun can be quite intense during the day, so we opted to drive. Sisal mainly attracts domestic tourists, with locals from Merida being the most common visitors. Casa Ingo Sisal is absolutely beautiful and likely the most luxurious experience we enjoyed in Sisal. March and April mark the peak migration period for pink flamingos. Each evening between 4 and 6 PM, we witnessed numerous flocks of vibrant pink flamingos soaring over the beach - just beautiful. Additionally, there are tours available for the mangroves that allow you to get a good view of the flamingos on the ground. We had done that a few years back in Holbox, so we decided to skip it this time, but I highly recommend it. In summary, we had a wonderfully relaxing four nights in Sisal. My husband's best friend resides in Merida, which made the trip particularly special. However, without that connection, Sisal might not be worth the international travel effort unless you can fly directly to Merida (MID).

Spent about 3 hours at Uxmal site.

Spent about 3 hours at Uxmal site. Lots of large sites to see and you can wander at your own pace. It was my favorite of the sites we visited on the trip. Tickets and entry could be clearer and signage at sites in Mexico is always lacking, but the quality of the ruins and architecture is fantastic. The scale, intimacy of the visit, and amount of ruins is superb.

Charming centre in deceptively large city. Great modern airport and good access to Yucatan sights. Mundo Maya museum a must visit. Great restaurant choice in Calle 47 - corridor gastronomica. Better to stay nearer here and Paseo Montejo than close to Plaza Principal, which is worth a visit but less sophisticated round about.
