Tijuana is a large city with many varied neighborhoods.

Tijuana is a large city with many varied neighborhoods. You can easily find any number of activities and great restaurants. Traffic is a problem like most large cities. I recommend using Uber or a cab to get around. Driving a private car is a little daunting for anyone not used to the traffic patterns and style.

Lots of high rise construction everywhere going on. Turning Revolurion Ave into a big plaza area Very easy to walk around and is pretty safe. We stay in a trendy nice area with lots of cafes and restaurants and is close to everything we do.. We walk everywhere snd never any problems at all.

leaving the Tijuana border was a nightmare via car..roads need fixing there's no lane on major busy roads so like a bunch of cars will be driving any side since there's no Lanes..those with anxiety be ready for the madness..Food wasn't bad but stinks in some areas

Tijuana remains a great destination for affordable food, services, and healthcare. In under 48 hours, I got a haircut, new rear tires with warranty, replaced my truck's clutch slave cylinder, bought Christmas gifts at nearly 66% savings, had lab work done, consulted a doctor and dermatologist, purchased medication about 38% cheaper than in the US, and enjoyed a massage and facial. Shop early and avoid downtown unless you know your destination. Nightlife is best with friends at reputable venues; family restaurants are safer for drinks than bars. Exchange dollars for pesos, stay a high end hotels if possible and learn basic phrases like "cerveza," "baño," and "buenas noches."

September 2025: It had been several years since I had come to TJ. I parked my car on the San Diego side and walked across the border. My boyfriend flew in. We took ubers. My boyfriend had never been there so we booked a TJ and Rosarito City Tour. That is a great way to see the highlights in a short time. The aquarium at the cultural center is small but well worth the view. We found some great restaurants. Ricardo's has a honey latte to die for and another local favorite very close to the beach condo was El Gran Yo Soy. Good food and excellent service. Rosarito is only about 25 minute drive away where we had a fabulous romantic lobster dinner. I don't wear my glittery jewlery to TJ to draw attention but I always felt safe. There were beautiful sunsets, great food and even saw a group of whales. It was a great romantic get-a-way.

This is a filthy town.

This is a filthy town. The people I met with were nice, but wherever you turn, you see filth, disorder and chaos. Granted, in a border town, you can't expect greatness. But compare it to San Ysidro, another border town on the US side. Granted, San Ysidro is unappealing; but Tijuana is filthy.

The big problem is the Internet. He often disconnected or couldn't connect at all. For a tourist who needs internet access in a hotel, this is a big problem. But maybe only our room had this problem. The room was clean. The location is good. There are many shops and street food nearby. Overall, the hotel is nice, but it's a little cold in the morning.

Comfortable room... Views of the golf course were very nice, busy hotel with lots of conventions. Parking was cheap! Fast elevators, even with lots of people at conventions, it was never a problem. Also, no problem with bathrooms.
