Campanile Hotel & Restaurant Gouda is situated near the A12 and A20 motorways. The hotel is situated 11.2 km from the city centre and Rotterdam Airport. I’m surprised it has such a low score. The shower is better than most 9+ locations, and the bed was comfy. Brilliant value for money for a business traveler.
B&B De Kamer Hiernaast is located in Gouda. It offers a spacious non-smoking accommodation with free WiFi access. The main train station is 1.1 km away. These owners are the consummate hosts. Friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived until I left, even giving me great recommendations for the next stage of my trip. The apartment was private, large and nicely decorated. Breakfast was a full Dutch special spread; more than I could eat and delicious. It’s hard to capture all they do for you. I cycled for four hours to get there and when I arrived there was a fridge full of cold drinks to choose from and a basket full of snacks. When I left two days later yet another delicious treat was pushed in my hand for the road. I was travelling alone this time but I’ll be returning with my wife. This was a wonderful experience and the best place I’ve stayed on my whole trip. Thank you folks!
Apple Tree Cottage - discover this charming studio in our idyllic walled city garden - is a historic house renovated in 2018 and situated in a quiet private garden in the historic town centre of... This place was truly outstanding. The cottage is located in a courtyard behind the owner’s house, and contains a kitchenette and bathroom on the ground floor, with a spacious bedroom upstairs. The location is excellent, however the best thing about it are the people who run it, who went above and beyond to make sure that my stay in Gouda was perfect, from recommending a place to get dinner, to letting me keep my baggage in the shed all day, even after I’d checked out so that I could explore the city unencumbered. I’ll definitely be back!

Excellent service from the host. Great location close to the main square in Gouda. Very modern and well equipped apartment. Recommended!
Het Suikerpandje is offering accommodation in Gouda. It is a small private house with 2 floors which can be exclusively used by the guests. The seating area features a smart TV. the apartment was just wonderful--so much space for 2 or even 4 people. Every thought was taken care of--there was wine for purchase and a stocked fridge with beer for purchase. the location was terrific if your plan was to the old center of Gouda--about one block away, really.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Betty Blue Bed & Breakfast offers accommodation in the city centre of Gouda. Fantastic location and everything that you could ever want. Very clean and in excellent condition. Why have a bland room in a hotel when you could have this. A lot of thought has gone into providing the comprehensive and friendly service to the guests. We will be sure to return the next time we are in the area.
Located just 3.9 km from De Goudse Schouwburg, Bed & Breakfast ‘t Westergouwertje features accommodation in Gouda with access to a bar, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. The hosts were kind and provided extra amenities such as convenient drinks (cola, water etc) to buy. Loved the style and the location on the water, very relaxing. Hustle n bustle reasonable by bicycle.
This town has beautiful architecture, churches, street art, and historical sights. There also many unique shops and wide variety of restaurants. Try sampling the various cheeses, you will probably buy more than you can carry. There are many other sights of interest nearby, Gouda would make a nice base for the region.
We didn’t have much time to explore as we came for a friend’s birthday party but we had a couple of walks in the old town, really nice. We loved the architecture of the houses by the canals. Cheese is to die for!
very pretty tourist town, with beautiful historical church, and other buildings. Lots of great places to eat in the main town centre. Try and go when the cheese markets are on. the Stroop Koeke factory tour was also really great!
Gouda is a fascinating old dutch town. We took our time going through the 30 stations of the self-guided historic tour and thoroughly enjoyed learning about this small yet once very important merchant/trade town. The annual Beach Festival was going on during our visit and we got to watch some beach volleyball games on the market square (on sand that was brought in). Disappointingly, the Verzetsmuseum was closed (apparently being moved and re-conceptualized) but we could still soak up quite a lot of history--while tasting some great cheese, too! We missed the weekly cheese market, though. If you want to experience that, be sure to visit on a Thursday.
Fascinating and well-defined old town for those who are prepared to read up the available literature, which is not voluminous, and simply look around them at the multitude of fascinating historic buildings, nearly all of which are either lived in or used for various purposes. The choice of eating places was too large to have any list of preferences The inner, and old town, is essentially defined by a square canal system easily walked from one side to another in twenty minutes.
a breath of fresh air after the touristy crowded (dirty) atmosphere of amsterdam. the museum is nice (loved the Gouda pottery collection) and St John's Church is not to be missed!! We bought the combo ticket for the museum, church and a coffee....a good deal and it makes you do both! Leave enough time for the church in your travels--the 16th century Goudse Glazen is spectacular!
