Staff were really friendly & helpful. The location was spot on too, lovely restaurants & bars around and the Market hall just across the street! The room was small but really well thought out & had everything we needed, loved the smart controls too. Sadly we didn't have time to make use of it but loved that the hotel does complimentary bike rental too! Would highly recommend staying here.

Boasting Europe's biggest port, Rotterdam mixes typical old canals with 21st century architecture. Including bustling terraces and exotic restaurants, Rotterdam resembles a global bazaar!

Whether you’re looking for a cosy B&B or a hip hotel made of glass and steel, Booking.com offers a wide variety of accommodation in the ‘World City’.
Rotterdam is the New York City of Europe. A city that never sleeps. And there are countless social activities and sporting events to attend. Countless bars, cafes, restaurants, and shopping centers to suit your budget and needs. The transport service was superb, though a little bit expensive. Connecting to other Netherlands cities and European cities is as easy as moving from your bedroom to the bathroom. I enjoyed every bit of Rotterdam

The architecture in the Netherlands never disappoints and Rotterdam is definitely the entry point for the modern side of it. The market hall was amazing. The public transport flawless. I would definitely buy the South of Holland tourist day ticket next time. 15 euros everything included. Go to The Hague while you visit Rotterdam. It's 30minutes by metro only.

A very clean city.
A very clean city. Transportation very easy for foreigners as you tap a credit card getting on and off. We spent a day visiting Kinderdykes. Enjoyed walking along tree-lined avenues. Several benches for rest stops. Intersections were terrifying as there were lanes for bikes, scooters. Then car lanes, then trams to watch for. We are seniors. Obey traffic lights and cross with a group of pedestrians. We recommend a visit to Markethal. You would never guess the variety of food stations inside, from cultures around the world. Cube houses at same location. Our hotel host said coloured lights illuminate this landmark in winter. Such a pleasant surprise for a large industrial port!

A modern city full of surprises.
A modern city full of surprises. So many interesting sights & unexpected discoveries. I loved seeing the surf bar & surf school ( Stadsdriehoek ) very cool. So many enticing bars and restaurants. I really enjoyed the coffee at ‘ Served ‘ ( Coolsingel) I recommend going up the Euromast tower ( what a view ) and a beautiful park nearby. The market hall has a lot of world cuisines to offer. I also enjoyed the Kapsalon at Jaffa Shoarma & Frites Boutique on Witte de Withstraat. Can’t wait to go back!

Because Rotterdam was so heavily bombed in WW2 much of it is new and modern. The architecture is ambitious and modern . It is a very walkable city and has preserved many green spaces. Museum park is delightful. A must visit is Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, a major art storage facility now open to the public, worth visiting for the stunning mirrored exterior facade alone. The interior is an object lesson in imaginative display and there are some wonderful exhibits. The Markthall has an amazing modern art ceiling and the famouse cube houses are will worth a visit.

Using only basic information about Rotterdam, you might...
Using only basic information about Rotterdam, you might think it's a rotten (as the name somehow suggests), ugly industrial harbor city. However, Rotterdam is far from that.
Rotterdam has beautiful harbor areas, and a stunning skyline. We stayed on an upper floor of the Mainport hotel, which gives you a great view on all of that. Rotterdam also has a great selection of upscale restaurants and shopping opportunities.
Perhaps one of the most remarkable experiences in Rotterdam was how friendly and relaxed the locals were. It was almost like being in Portugal.
I had an excellent stay at the Mainport Hotel in Rotterdam. The hotel was spotless, and my room was comfortable, featuring a lovely bathroom with a bathtub, which enhanced my experience. The sauna, Turkish steam bath, swimming pool, and gym facilities were wonderful additions to my stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Mainport Hotel Rotterdam for a fantastic visit.
Location is central and convenient for station, shopping, restaurants and trams. From outside the hotel you can take trams to all over Rotterdam and further. The city trams continue to the beach at Hook of Holland, to The Hague, and other places.
The friendly staff helped us park our bikes at the rear of the building, and the in-house handy-person instantly arrived to unblock our shower!
The location is just fantastic. You can walk to the center of the city. The staff and the hotel owner very nice people and always available for any request. Specially at the breakfast Rosy it’s always available to help you with any special request you might have. I really advise this hotel to anyone coming to the center of Rotterdam without wanting to spend a fortune.
Really cool concept—it looks like a dorm but feels like micro hotel rooms (lockable doors, quiet). I hope it becomes more popular elsewhere! Staff are great and there is a social area (like in a hostel) so you can also meet other guests. WiFi is great, don't worry. Location is an easy 15-minute walk from Rotterdam Centraal, and there's a tram stop really close anyway.
The accommodation for four people was spacious and clean, offering a lovely view of the Rotterdam harbour and skyline. Conveniently located next to the hotel, a train station provides quick access to the city center.
