We absolutely loved our stay from the moment we stepped foot in the hotel. We were greeted so warmly by Camille and given a warm cookie each. Our room wasn't quite ready so we were offered a free drink at the bar and had a nice chat with the bartender. When in our room (#5100) we were in absolute awhh with how gorgeous it was. I don't think I've ever stayed in a suite nicer than this and the view over the park was spectacular! It's in a handy enough area where we could easily walk to the trains and old city but if you're not much of a walker this may not be the location for you. We look forward to staying here again soon!

Brussels used to be a great city.
Brussels used to be a great city. It is now dirty, even filthy. I was accosted on three separate occasions in ways that suggested violence was in the offing. On the most threatening occasion there was a police car nearby which I moved towards and the thug quickly disappeared. The cops simply shrugged. Could not have cared less. The art museum is very clean and safe.

Amazing choice of cheeses, chocolates, frites and waffles from street stalls as well as shops. Specialised shops eg an amazing truffle shop and wonderful beer cellars.
