A Gem of Fashion
As the world’s largest diamond-cutting city, Antwerp (Anvers in French) is naturally affluent. It comes as no surprise then that fashion is also of utmost importance, so the shopping here is excellent. It may not be the cheapest place, but the quality certainly matches the price.
Another big business in Antwerp is the port, one of Europe’s largest. Take a cruise around to admire its scale. The Scheldt River leads from the port into the city, and on its banks are a handful of interesting museums and Het Steen, a medieval castle built to protect the city against Viking invasions.
A few streets back is the Grote Markt, a beautiful square flanked by the grand town hall and 16th-century guildhouses – a typically Belgian scene. Behind this is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Antwerp Cathedral, whose asymmetrical towers look down over Groenplaats, a tranquil square filled with pavement cafes. Belgian beer is legendary and the local brew is De Koninck, which packs quite a punch.
In the south of the city is the most unusual sight – Wilrijk’s huge Jain Temple, one of the largest outside India. A little further east is Antwerp Airport, efficiently connected by public transport to the Antwerp hotels, guest houses and apartments that are available on Booking.com.

We had a fantastic dinner at Nathan. Excellent art galleries and museums including the smaller ones (Rockox-Snijders and Mayer van den Bergh). A shame so many things are closed for renovation at the same time.

Antwerpen Belgium is a big city. Rich in culture and full with friendly warm people . You have almost all nationalities everywhere you go in Antwerpen. Antwerpen is really accommodating. It a place you learn quickly.
Lots and lots of places to eat and drink and have fun.

My husband and I loved Antwerp.
My husband and I loved Antwerp. We came with a friend and booked 2 rooms at Hilton for 2 nights. Everything was within walking distance that we were planning on seeing. The area was so clean and welcoming. This was our favorite place out of Hamburg, Amsterdam, and Paris.

Loved the St-Anna pedestrian tunnel under the Schelde, loved all the lovely squares such as Vrijdagmarkt, St-Anna square, wonderful historic buildings, beautiful Grote Markt and town Hall, Cathedral is unique, plenty of restaurants, cafe's, bars. Great city trip.

Antwerpen has always been our favorite weekend getaway. A lot of cheap hotels and restaurants. Perfect for overnight and cinema. There are weekend markets and good restaurants. There are cinemas and theaters for musical. I love the place and its a bus away from my residence.

Antwerp is a vibrant & friendly city, with lots to see and do. Plenty of restaurants to keep you busy with every type of food you could think of, along with beautiful buildings. The city is very cycle-friendly, and it's a great way to see the city. We loved our time there and would 100% recommend.

Excellent room: was actually a proper studio apartment, rather than a standard hotel room;
Extremely comfortable bed;
Excellent shower;
Plenty of USB charging sockets in the studio, which saved on the need for travel adaptor plugs.
Only had the breakfast once, but it was very good quality, plentiful and available until 11.00am.
Fully equiped kitchen if you wanted to cater for yourself.
Less than five minutes walk to Antwerp Central Station and about a ten - fifteen minute walk to the Grote Market / Cathedral area.

The staff were helpful and obliging. The room was a spacious double with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was a full Continental Breakfast buffet including a hot choice of bacon and scrambled or boiled eggs. The hotel is around 100 yards from the Antwerp Central Railway Station on a major shopping street with a variety of restaurants and cafes in close proximity. The main tourist attractions and the major shops were all within half an hour's walk of the hotel.

Room was comfortable, shower was amazing! Loved that hotel was next to Antwerp Central Station. Made it easy to move in between cities as we had to hop to Utrecht and Ghent on separate days. Would definitely visit again.

My favorite place to stay in Antwerp. Very comfortable hotel with big rooms, excellent breakfast and a bar and restaurant downstairs as well as spa. Even though by the busy train station square it is very quiet.
