It was a pleasant stay in a modern and stylish house. Very quiet environment where you can relax and enjoy the nature. Really lovely to experience how autumn does its magic around the place. Great coffee by the way, really a huge plus for me. All amenities were available, so I had nothing to worry about taking with me.

We enjoyed the food but one must remember to book a table...

We enjoyed the food but one must remember to book a table for dinner you cannot just walk in and expect to be served. The food generally is good with generous portions. Breakfast is very good with lots of choice but again one must book breakfast at reception and obtain a coupon to eat there. We booked a breakfast at reception late one night and were turned away at breakfast because we had no coupon. Reception did not offer us one when we booked the previous night!

Hoenderloo is a nice little town that exists for tourists,...

Hoenderloo is a nice little town that exists for tourists, visiting De Veluwe. There are wonderful restaurants, a pancake house, a specialty schnitzel restaurant and many more places to eat and terraces. There is a very nice park where they have a market every Wednesday and bike trips are organized by the locals. There is one supermarket, the Spar, but they have EVERYTHING. Very nice, clean and organized.

The reception staff give you little or no information.

The reception staff give you little or no information. The rooms are spread over a large area and we asked to have 2 rooms close by but they were on opposite sides of the site. Be prepared to pay extra over and above the cost of the room, make sure that you book ahead for dinner, breakfast and facility usage. The rooms for me are very dated and could benefit from a refurbishment, the so called room terrace had more weeds than flags. If you have a family then the cost of food and drink at this hotel can sky rocket so please be prepared. The location for us was good and was near to Appeldoorn and Arnhem and you could be quickly onto the motorway network.

The location at Hoenderloo is really beautiful. It is located in a forest. Check-in went smoothly. The breakfast is very varied. Also, there is a pool, sauna, football field etc. so there is much to do for families. Service is also pretty good, all problems were quickly solved.

Location is amazing, if you want to visit Hoge Veluwe park. Entrance is 5 mins on foot. Leave cars and any vehicle at home, there are free bikes to use just after the park entrance. The hotel is comfortable enough, breakfast is just normal, nothing overwhelming.
