GermanyEverything was simply perfect with a magnificent lovely & authentic touch of Frisian culture & history. The entire compound including a huge garden area was extremely well kept & maintained. All staff were super friendly & hearty and walked miles out of their way to help one out with all possible small questions plus happily provided me with excellent insider hints on Frisian daily life & culture very proudly 🤩👊
The breakfast buffet was extremely nice and with many choices, picks and treats 😋 It should enable, I presume, every human being to fill up one's batteries for a new day full of lovely impressions in the pearl of the entire 🇳🇱

We have visited Lemmer many times over the years and are...
We have visited Lemmer many times over the years and are happy to find many of the same restaurants and bars still going (especially after Covid). It is a vibrant, friendly town, based around the Ijsselmeer and canals, many boats of all shapes and sizes. We didn't swim in the Ijsselmeer (it was May, and bear in mind it used to be part of the North Sea!) Lots to see and do round about, though our holiday was mainly based around fishing (myself, with some success) and reading in a lounger (my wife).

The harbors are really nice, and there are nice views, a lovely city.
And perfectly cycling place to Lemmer.
The train station is a little bit far, so if you are cycling to Lemmer and want to transfer by public transport in the middle, it's not that easy.,

Liked that Margriet met us with the key and showed us around the house, she was on hand whenever we needed a little extra information or assistance and nothing was ever too much! The house itself was perfect for us and had everything we needed. Location is perfect, close to the beach and the centre of Lemmer (but not too close that you have noise/lots of people!) We will definitely be back!

Very comfortable hotel with a secure bike shed to store our bikes. The huge bath was a real bonus after a long bike ride. Lovely breakfast and a nice bar for an evening drink.
