Our room was clean and the "bunk bed" was a great way to accommodate three people in the room, this was a great help for us so we didn't have to book an extra room for our daughter. The air con controller was also very easy to operate to ensure a nice temperature in the room during our sleep.

As an angler Bodo is a wonderful place to catch fish in the...
As an angler Bodo is a wonderful place to catch fish in the city and the fjords surrounding it. The 24 hour summer daylight is amazing and just gives you so much scope to fish all day and all night. we were self catering and shops were always conveniently nearby. I truly loved being there and am allready planning another trip back.

Bodø is a small town, surrounded by the most beautiful landscape of mountains and sea. The old harbour is attractive, with many enjoyable bars and restaurants - Sjøbaren seafood restaurant is ‘a must’! From the harbour, it’s also possible to book a rib and guide to take you to see the white-tailed sea eagles, which are magnificent, and then onto the world’s largest maelstrom. There are stunning walks in the mountains surrounding the town, with views of the many islands close by. A jewel in the crown of Bodø is The Wood Hotel, where you can enjoy 360degree views, high above the town, in the comfort of the lounge, bar and restaurant, with excellent food and wine.

Bodø isnt a common or popular tourist destination for most...
Bodø isnt a common or popular tourist destination for most visitors to Norway but it has a lot to offer, from restaurants, beaches, nature hikes and excursions, northern lights, and of course not to forget Saltstraumen. It is colder than other cities in Norway as it is the windiest city in Norway, so be prepared for that.

We loved our stay in Bodø although we didn’t see much of the city itself. We hiked up Keiservarden, went to the Pust Sauna with a dip in the freezing ocean, went on a moose safari at night and ended our trip with a visit to the Luftfahrtmuseum.

We didn’t stay long so I can’t really give a full review (we were just there one night en route to the Lofoten Islands). However it seemed like a lively port city. Lovely harbour with bars and outside seating and an interesting church.

Young lady at the reception was very polite, friendly and welcoming.
Hotel and room was very clean. Spacious shower.
Location was very centrally located right in the heart of what people mostly visit Bodø for.
For me it was a one night transit for Lofoten and it worked perfectly.
Breakfast was also pretty good with a variety of options from different seafood options , to dairy , eggs , fresh bread etc
Also fika was included in the stay, tea and desert.

The Wood Hotel is a fantastic place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and the wellness suite offers incredible views from its lofty position on the 8th floor. Make sure you spend some time there when you visit Bodø, you will not be disappointed.

I have chosen this hotel because it is in the middle of the road between the ferry terminal and the Bodø Airport, in a city center with cafes and restaurants. The hotel room was nice and comfortable. Nice view from the window. Good choice!

The hotel is beautiful. Reception area is welcoming and spacious. Staff well organized and the room had an amazing view on the surroundings. We had a dinner at the restaurant on the top floor. Fully satisfied by quality and quantity.

Walking distance to many cafes and restaurants. Easy drive to take the car ferry to Lofoten Islands. Street parking is free between 16:00 and 08:00. Plenty of places in the hotel street. Great buffet breakfast.
