Breakfast was excellent, lots to choose from and everything was fresh! Our room was clean and the "bunk bed" was a great way to accommodate three people in the room, this was a great help for us so we didn't have to book an extra room for our daughter. The air con controller was also very easy to operate to ensure a nice temperature in the room during our sleep.

As an angler Bodo is a wonderful place to catch fish in the city and the fjords surrounding it. The 24 hour summer daylight is amazing and just gives you so much scope to fish all day and all night. we were self catering and shops were always conveniently nearby. I truly loved being there and am allready planning another trip back.

Bodø is a small town, surrounded by the most beautiful landscape of mountains and sea. The old harbour is attractive, with many enjoyable bars and restaurants - Sjøbaren seafood restaurant is ‘a must’! From the harbour, it’s also possible to book a rib and guide to take you to see the white-tailed sea eagles, which are magnificent, and then onto the world’s largest maelstrom. There are stunning walks in the mountains surrounding the town, with views of the many islands close by. A jewel in the crown of Bodø is The Wood Hotel, where you can enjoy 360degree views, high above the town, in the comfort of the lounge, bar and restaurant, with excellent food and wine.

Bodø isnt a common or popular tourist destination for most...

Bodø isnt a common or popular tourist destination for most visitors to Norway but it has a lot to offer, from restaurants, beaches, nature hikes and excursions, northern lights, and of course not to forget Saltstraumen. It is colder than other cities in Norway as it is the windiest city in Norway, so be prepared for that.

We loved our stay in Bodø although we didn’t see much of the city itself. We hiked up Keiservarden, went to the Pust Sauna with a dip in the freezing ocean, went on a moose safari at night and ended our trip with a visit to the Luftfahrtmuseum.

We didn’t stay long so I can’t really give a full review (we were just there one night en route to the Lofoten Islands). However it seemed like a lively port city. Lovely harbour with bars and outside seating and an interesting church.

Bodo has much to offer visitors.

Bodo has much to offer visitors. It has a convenient bus service. If you enjoy hiking and cycling there are many routes in and around the town. Take the 40 minute bus ride to the beautiful pink beach, Mjelle. Take your bicycle on the Moskenes ferry to Lofoten Island for the day. (pedestrians go for free) Don't just limit your visit to the marina. There is much more to see and do in Bodo.

The hotel is conveniently located, just a 15-minute walk from Bodø airport, and the express boat terminal is right next to the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, providing a cloud-like sleeping experience. Additionally, the breakfast offered a wide variety of options including typical Norwegian dishes and common breakfast items such as cereal, pancakes, eggs, and muffins.

Everything went very well! I really liked that I could check in and check out without interacting with anyone. Breakfast was really great. Hotel room was small but it didn’t bother me. It was clean and bed was comfortable. I would definitely use this hotel again if I visit Bodø again. Highly recommend.

Quiet location near the airport. The receptionist was very nice. Breakfast was adequate. This hotel has a point to make evening snacks for free if you want. The room was modernly renovated.
