NorwayStayed on our way home for Christmas, and the entire hotel was packed with Christmas decorations. It was snowing and the atmosphere was just amazing. There was only 2 guests in the entire hotel, so we felt like we got more of a VIP treatment as well. Food was really good too.
Our car had snowed in during the night, but woke up to a tractor making the way for us, without us asking. Just a perfect stay. Can recommend!

Dombas is a wonderful destination for both winter and summer tourism. In winter, it offers a great ski resort, while during the summer months, visitors can enjoy hiking and a variety of other outdoor activities.

This is an exceptionally beautiful part even by Norways high...
This is an exceptionally beautiful part even by Norways high standards. Lovely village with good facilities. Conveniant to vist the historic Heavy water plant and the 'Heroes of Telemark' story form the 2nd World War. We travelled on 6 motorbikes and were made very welcome.

It's a small place with quite a lot of history and it is...
It's a small place with quite a lot of history and it is popular during the day with tourists transiting through in mobile homes etc. There's good value shops to stock up on provisions and a couple of cafes - also a police station if you need them.
I used it for a layover on a long train journey and for that it was ideal.
There is some great countryside around with at least one very nice walk.
Nothing much happens at night. I get the impression its a staging post above in the main and for that its ideal.
The rail station is up hill from the town - be prepared if you're carrying bags etc.

Dombas is an excellent stopover coming back from the fjords...
Dombas is an excellent stopover coming back from the fjords to Oslo. I stayed at the campsite located on top of the village which offers nice cottages and views of the surrounding mountains. The area offers plenty of hiking trails and 5-6 hours moose and muskOx safaris not far from Dombas starting at 10am. Unfortunately I didn't have time to do the safari since I stayed just for the night and left in the morning.
All amenities are located in one spot at the Dombas Senter which includes petrol & many fast charging stations, cafeterias, a couple of restaurants, supermarkets and a huge souvenir shop all at reasonable prices. We ate at Moskusgrillen located on the opposite side. The restaurant offers some traditional food, meats, juicy burgers and large pizzas. We tried the deer burger, ribs and pizza and were all very good. I will definitely go back.

Room was great able to park right next to room.
Room was great able to park right next to room. Staff was amazing, i arrived late and was able to catch end of the buffet dinner. Thank you to all the staff for letting me get some dinner before cleaning up. Thank you so much.

Dombas is a busy stop on the E6 route through Norway and I wasn’t expecting such a great hotel in this town, it really was exceptional. Nice small shopping mall with cafe and souvenir shop , also everything was in easy reach of hotel.

The staff, in particular the guy on the desk on Tuesday (30/06/26) who was very helpful when I was trying to sort out a train lost property issue. The hotel is central. Clean, maintained Ok, though main light didn't work, bed comfortable. Breakfast choice and quality very good. The views are excellent
