Great cabin in the forest! The cabin has been renovated nicely so still has log cabin features but modern kitchen and bathroom plus modern TV making it very comfortable if the weather is not so good outdoors. Handy location with only 10mins drive to Hellesylt where you can catch ferry to Geiranger. There are also plenty of nice walks in the surrounding hills which the host Kim Andre was very kind to tell us about. Would definitely stay again:)

This hostel is beautifully situated on the hill , over Hellesylt, with gorgeous view of the fjord's. Parking is by the hostel. There's a kitchen , fully equipped, spacy and with view. We have had a double room with private bath and it had even own entry from the terrace. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There are kayaks for rent. Fair price-performance ratio.

We changed our room to the one with the view, which was the best decision. (worth the extra payment) It was on the 5th floor, and the view was amazing. We loved it. We didn’t want to leave the room. Thanks to the receptionist who changed the room.

Location and geirangerfjord view is best part, facility like pool, piano , library , good breakfast and really really nice staff were high lights. We will stay here again.

Very cozy place, with one of the best views at the Geiranger. We recommend it very much! Hosts were super welcoming, we asked about many touristic-related things and all the information was the best and valuable!

The drive down to Geiranger was beautiful! Vinje was tucked away in the mountain. We arrived at night so we didn't see the view but we were so pleasantly surprised to wake up to a beautiful view and giant mountains making us feel small! The nature itself made the location and stay sooo worth it! The cabin itself was very comfy and cozy! There was a patio deck to enjoy the view. The staff was very nice and even gave us an upgrade!

What a stand out. The farmhouse was built in the early part of last century and has lost none of its charm desipite the modern conveniences. The bedroom was large, beautifully presented, and the bed made us melt away. Warm and cosy for the night. Our host was charming and drew the guests together in the most amazing breakfast. This must NOT be missed. Home produce and local delicacies, with good converstaion from the four nationalities present. A return visit would be a must if we can get back to Norway...
