Location was perfect for me as it was right across the harbour where the cruise ships and havila stop. I arrived at 22:40 in the evening there was staff at the reception constantly. Very friendly people. My room had a balcony and mini fridge. There was also an ironing board in a closet. Nice big bed in the room. From the bed you saw whatever cruise ship was docked at the moment or the water. Depending on your feelings this can be a good or bad thing. Molde isn't a big place but the location is very central. A good breakfast buffet that is served by the restaurant next door (you don't have to go outside to get there). You could hear people entering their rooms from the hallway etc, but you couldn't hear them when they were in their room so the noise insulation was good (at least in my room)

We stayed for 2 days in this charming house and loved it! It is very clean, the beds are super comfortable. The host is welcoming and kind. It is also close to the Atlantic Ocean Road. My main reason for visiting Molde was to explore the mountain trails, and it did not disappoint. The scenery was stunning, and even the light drizzle couldn’t spoil the experience. I’ll save the open-air museum for my next visit!

Molde is at the western coast of Norway.

Molde is at the western coast of Norway. There is plenty of rainy weather, but when the sun shines, there is hardly a better place to visit. The stunning beauty of the mountains across the fiord is absolutely magnificent. There are nice hotels, but the prices are quite high to be a city of the size of less than 30K citizens. Maybe the cost-level reflects the history of tourism when the royal families from different nations of Europe frequented this part of Norway. You will find friendly staff at all places, but you could also pop into those who might take you as a visitor for granted. Maybe if you smile, you could get somebody smiling back to you.

Nice hotel in great location. Breakfast is delicious but served until 9.30 am. the hours should be extended till 10.30-11 as check out is 12 noon.
