Was doing a bike race and got delayed on the road. Check in stayed open until midnight, which was really 👍 👌. I was allowed to drag my bike caked in mud into the hotel reception and to be stored in a room on the ground floor. Well done. Not many other hotels would allow this.

The place and location are stunning — beautiful surroundings, incredible architecture, and a cosy atmosphere throughout the building. The stories behind it are really interesting and definitely worth asking about. The lady who hosted us was absolutely incredible — friendly, helpful, informative, and very caring. She made our experience and stay 100% better than we expected. We were lucky to be the only guests, and it truly felt like we received special treatment. The breakfast she served and the room she placed us in were mind-blowing. It was my birthday stay, and she made the day and celebration sooooooooo much more special for me.

The location is magical, Iris is a very pleasant host. Interested in an unobtrusive way. The cats are adorable. A very relaxing place (with lots of books). If you'd like to do things there are some options nearby, there are even some hikes you can start from this location.
