United KingdomThe location is close to the ski lifts (5 min driving to the car park, near the ski lift T2), the room was big enough to accomodate a couple, also the room was spotless and well-maintained, equipped with a mini fridge. The bed, pillows, and seating areas were comfortable.
The Wi-Fi was fast, with excellent connection. The large-screen TV in our room featured an additional option to connect your phone or tablet via Chromecast, so we had access to a wide variety of programs online, allowing us to enjoy our preferred content. That is a massive plus, I would say, for people spending most of the evening in their room (not so many outdoor attractions in Trysil, after nightfall, unfortunately).
The breakfast was a buffet style, with something for every taste. It was neatly arranged, and everything was kept clean.
It was a great stay and the staff were very friendly.
We intend to return at this hotel in the near future.

Trysil is great for skiing.
Trysil is great for skiing. We stayed for 5 days and the skiing was really good. The facilities (lift, slopes, dining) were really great and we would love to come back again. Two negative things. Parking next to the lifts is expensive and limited. The swimming pool at Radisson Blue is super expensive compared to the facility.

Wow! Trysil truly impressed us.
Wow! Trysil truly impressed us. We usually switch destinations every year for our annual ski holiday, but we’re definitely coming back to Trysil next time. Aside from the beautiful scenery, we loved the ski lifts and the conditions, which are perfect for all levels of skiing, especially for families. What a fantastic experience!

Trysil is a lovely little resort.
Trysil is a lovely little resort. It would be perfect for skiers who are learning or on their second trip maybe. It is a fairly quiet resort, which suited us fine. Great for ski in/out. We are in our mid 50s, and seasoned skiers, so a few days was plenty to cover everywhere.
Plenty of places to eat, for young families too. Taste Bar/Restaurant/Cafe was our favourite.
A small resort, so everywhere is close by. Great transportation if you need that too. The town is a 25 min walk away, with a nice little shopping centre if needed.

Over 80+ km of slopes offer a variety for all levels for both skiers and snowboarders at a very low altitude with excellent snow depth in December. The slopes are well-maintained and illuminated. The lift infra is aging and does not match the peak demand well. Main lifts like T1-T2 are congested and also malfunctioning. Food choices exist, but only one option at higher altitudes exists. There are few ski shops and only one rental shop, which has a wide variety of helpful stuff. Overall, there is a high level of safety and an additional flavor with night skiing options.

Excellent small skiing area.
Excellent small skiing area. Ideal for beginners/intermediates. Expert skiers will be bored, although there is one specific black run that is very challenging. Most red/black runs are wide open and when compared to Alpine resorts would be classed as no more than hard blues or easy reds. Plenty of mountain restaurants.

An excellent cabin. I stayed with a group of 9 (4 adults and 5 children) and there was ample space. The cabin is very well set up with great facilities, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and there are two separate living room areas. The location is perfect for skiing in the Trysil area, about a 10min drive (max). The host was brilliant and communicated well throughout the stay. I'd certainly recommend this cabin for groups and families.

We loved the location, only 2km from Trysil town & 5km to the ski lifts, with a rental car it was perfect. The location is rural, next to a river, the mountain & just perfect. The snow laden area was magical. The cottage/chalet is very basic but just perfect for a family going self catering and just needing their own space, very warm and dry. We really had an amazing time and would recommend the Hyttegrend to any family wanting a relaxing country/ski break.

Bror is an exceptional host. He welcomed us warmly and immediately made us feel at home. The apartment, including the kitchen and bathroom, is equipped with everything you might need. On top of that, the location is fantastic, just a 5‑minute drive from the ski lifts. We truly had a wonderful stay!
