We found this hotel exceeded our expectations. We were met with very friendly staff on arrival. We were early and the staff immediatley offered us an upgrade to access a room earlier. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds. It was relaxing to just stay at the hotel. The restaurant was very good

The room was generously spacious, offering a high level of comfort. It had a modern touch, with the convenience of an in-room iPad for accessing menus and requesting services, such as e-bike rentals. The location is excellent; reaching the cathedral and the commercial district within just a 10-minute walk.

Loved the bar area. So quirky. Great to relax on arrival. Very friendly staff. Close to town and to the restaurant we ate out at that evening. Great breakfast in morning with lovely views outside as we ate.

Dorm room is very clean and have enough space for store your personal stuff. and you can check in with self_kiosk, its quick and easy.

Warm personal welcome. Felt like home from home. The friendliest hotel we have stayed at! Fantastic location. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to the great hands-on managers. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Magnificent breakfast. We felt very welcome and the boutique feeling is so much nicer than the huge crowded hotels. The porter (sorry, forgot his name) was really good with the kids and friendly overall which made the arrival very positive. Small great touches here and there that make it such a good experience to stay at the George. I would travel to Christchurch just for staying at the George.
