FAQs about hotels in Singapore

Asia in a Compact Package

Clean, compact and compelling, Singapore seamlessly combines the best of Asia. Different cultures and cuisines live side by side, whilst maintaining their own identity.

Behind the bright lights of Chinatown is great value dim sum, while Little India is a sensation for the senses. Wander past the pastel-painted facades of Malay-dominated Geylang Seari for a taste of days gone by, then stop off at the Colonial-style Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail.

For a retreat from the hustle and bustle, take the cable car to the sandy beaches of Sentosa, an island just south of the city centre. Also here is Universal Studios Singapore, a theme park brimming with the magic of the movies.

As you’d expect from the host of the world’s only Formula 1 night race, once night falls, Singapore is still very much alive. Its Night Safari is a zoo offering the rare chance to see nocturnal animals going about their business.

Although small enough to see on foot, Singapore has an efficient public transport system which extends as far as Singapore Changi Airport. With a choice of Singapore accommodation ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels, Booking.com is bound to have the right choice for your holiday.

    Unbelievably clean city!

Unbelievably clean city! Safe, transportation is spectacular and inexpensive. The building architecture is incredible. This is a model of how to build a city and a society. The national museum had a special section emphasizing being respectful and supportive of people with alzhaimers. The museum also tackled the excessive use of plastics. This island nation recycles everything possible, then makes non;loadbraring concrete from the ahs produced by burning garbage. And yes they scrub the combustion air and produce energy from the burning. After taking a tremendous risk to build a world-class airport 43 years ago, they are at it again in building a world-class shipping facility that will be largely automated and, hence wildly efficient. Owner occupancy of over 90% of its residents! WHat!? I'm from the US where corporations are being our house ing and turning us into a nation of renters. Leadership looks like this. Based upon what is best for all citizens, not just the powerful.

Singapore is a city in a garden. It’s all beautiful.

Singapore is a city in a garden. It’s all beautiful. There is lots to see around the city for free and is very tourist friendly, with most people able to speak English. The botanic garden, especially the orchid garden is a must visit. The food court in “MBS Shoppes” is excellent. Singapore is spotlessly clean and super safe at night. Lots of trendy neighbourhoods to explore and has excellent public transport. It’s how a city should be.

I am a spick-and-span person so the orderliness and disciplined environment is what I like (e.g., always use the pedestrian lights when crossing the streets). There is no worry about security as one can walk around quite safely. There are many places to visit, things to do, and different types of food to taste. Only consideration is its strong currency, approximately (as of Feb.2024) US$1.00 = SG$1.35 (slightly higher than AUD$)

Such a beautiful place. So much to see and do.

Such a beautiful place. So much to see and do. Do your research on cost of activities to budget this into your holiday as these add up quickly. MRT is easy to use and very safe. I would use this more next time. I also used the buses and they were also great. Singapore is humid so pack plenty of water to take with you on your outings and schedule some indoor time to cool down where you can. There are plenty of food options and depending on where you eat these can vary from quite cheap to quite expensive. I recommend having Internet access so you can transit easily.

    Singapore is a tourist paradise.

Singapore is a tourist paradise. Easy public transit - some big scenic things (Merlion/Marina Bay Sands/Gardens By the Bay) - a bay - great food. Marina Bay Sands is a show-stopper. The Bay boat tour is charming. Sentosa has so many things to do. We ate at the market-style venues and loved them. Would go back again for sure.

The room is small but very well designed and very comfortable. The floor to ceiling window was my favorite thing as the view was nice and the room had great sunlight (very rare in hotels in Singapore). The bed is big, clean and comfortable. The room was cleaned meticulously every day and fresh towels, clean bathroom rug and sheets were replaced. The location is excellent with the two main subway lines and a dozen bus lines minutes away. The reception team is nice, friendly and helpful and the housekeeping staff is polite and considerate.

We came to Singapore to attend Coldplay concert at the stadium. The location is perfect as it was near an MRT station to get to the stadium. It’s also close to the touristy Arab street, haji lane area. I informed the hotel staff in advance regarding my flight arriving early and requested for early check in. Despite them not promising this was possible, they actually allowed us to check in early and that was very kind of them!

Rooms are small but fine if you’re not carrying a ton of luggage. Bathrooms are tiny, but I’ve stayed in expensive “boutique” hotels in Europe that are the same. The building is quite new, so everything was in good condition. The location is great for experiencing a funkier, less gleaming side of Singapore, with tons of street side restaurants a minute’s walk away.

Considering the price of hotels in Singapore, Kesa House is a very good value for money. Although rooms are ridiculously small, they have managed to perfectly use all space to make it very comfortable and convenient. As a bonus, the little lounge is very cosy and kitchen quite useful.
