This is a comfortable and clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is easy to find and the road up isn’t as difficult as some people have suggested. The hotel serves an extensive breakfast and the lovely young man who looked after us cooked delicious scrambled eggs. There is no restaurant but there are 2 restaurants nearby plus a coffee shop. The hotel is in a great location for the Rose walk - just turn right out of the hotel and walk about 1km down the road to where there is a junction with cafes. We walked as far as Saiq and then to a wadi. A beautiful walk.

Unique in every single way: its architecture, location, concept, food and design. The history behind this hotel is an immersion in the Omani local culture and tradition. It even looks better than on the pictures! The staff is beyond amazing and took care of us as if we were their own family.
