Located in Bluff Beach, 6 miles from Bocas Town, The Hummingbird provides a garden and free WiFi. There's a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. We had a wonderful 5 days at The Hummingbird over Christmas, a great escape as so quiet and relaxed. Gary and Betsy were great hosts, they and the team were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Gary was very knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna and we were so delighted to see several sloths in the garden! Along with beautiful hummingbirds, so many huge butterflies, frogs and lots more! The rooms are clean and bright and very comfy beds, great showers and a lovely balcony to sit out and chill on. The beach is very long so we were able to go for nice walks with hardly anyone there , so you have it to your self which was a huge bonus. The waves are very big in December so you can't swim here but there are other beaches you can take a boat to from Bocas Town. The pool is very nice aa an alternative and great to just lie in the sun by, as just so peaceful. The food was absolutely delicious , great breakfasts too, fresh fruit and cooked, inc their yummy coconut bread!. We enjoyed our evening cocktails a lot as well : ) ! We would all definitely come back to stay again. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Set in Bluff Beach, 3.7 mi from Bocas Town, Oasis Bluff Beach features unobstructed views of the beach and ocean. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Everything: - Great location - Clean facilities - Very friendly staff and owners - Delicious food (Kickback & Relax) Thank you Wendy & Simon for an unforgettable times we spent at your Oasis, it felt so special
This bed and breakfast on Bluff Beach features a beach front 65-foot-long lap pool. Complimentary items such as WiFi, bicycles & snorkels are provided. The photos don’t do this place justice - it is a lovely old style wooden house with wrap around balcony surrounded by jungle, hummingbirds almost ever present and a stones throw from a practically deserted beach stretching for miles in both directions The rooms are large, with high ceilings and nice showers 3 very decent restaurants within less than a 2min walk And the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful with booking things. Ron even took us for a walk around his farm nearby When deciding where to stay in Bocas del Torro, we considered the town (nice vibe but doesn’t have the jungle and beach close by) and the surrounding islands (often very isolated). On bluff beach, you get the best of both worlds We simply loved our time here
Tesoro Escondido Guest House is set in Bluff Beach, 3.1 mi from Bocas Town and 16 mi from Buena Vista. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Tesoro Escondido has everything one may need: friendly and helpful staff, beach with great waves, jungle right outside the house. Clean rooms and chilling atmosphere. Alejandra was attentive and great host, thanks for everything and hope to see you soon 🙏
Surrounded by a mature garden, the beachfront and eco Turtle Beach House offers a boutique-style accommodations. It is about 20 minutes away from the busy Bocas town. We loved our stay in turtle Beach House. Manuel and Olivia were very friendly and made us feel at home from the 1st day. They gave us a lot of information about trips and made delicious breakfast. The pool was perfect for the kids and the beach is just in front of the house. The kitchen is big and well equipped and there are a few restaurants in walking distance.
The rustic and ecological Tesoro Escondido Lodge Cabinas offers accommodations in Big Bluff Beach. Located in a secluded area of Colon, this property uses solar panels. Fully nature. Nice breakfast and amazing dinner with an excellent treatment by Salvatore and Nadia.
Bluff Beach is a bit out of the way and very quiet. It is a surf beach and has a strong rip tide so not recommended for swimming. But it is great for walking and for seeing wildlife and birds. There are a couple of really good restaurants at Bluff, plus a couple of beach bars. The bus runs regularly from Bocas to Bluff and back. There's a schedule but generally the bus comes when it comes and you need patience. There are always a few taxis around which are more expensive but can get you there faster. We enjoyed the tranquility. There are lots of surfers but also a few other independent travelers and families.
Bluff beach was the most wonderful beach we spent time at on Bocas del Toros. It feels slightly remote but incredibly liberating as it stretches on for miles-no chance of overcrowding. There are buses running from the centre of Bocas and they drop you at the beach bar (highly recommended). We had a brilliant meal at The Hummingbird and heard exceptional reviews of Island Plantation as well.
Oasis bluff was a magical experience. The attention to detail by the owners and their staff was more than we could have ever wanted. The kindness and warmth of all contributed to our five star stay. All the amazing food, and coordination of our daily adventures combined with the beautiful beach and ocean breeze made this vacation relaxing and recharge. I have been telling all my friends and family . Hope to return again.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was so cozy with gorgeous natural wood interior. King beds and pillows were super comfortable. I had the best sleep with a slight sound of waves breaking in the background. The complimentary breakfast daily was so perfect to eat on the deck surrounded by greenery and the ocean, made with love by Linda, who was absolutely amazing and accommodating in every way, even my picky egg requests! She really went above and beyond in every way and in every interaction. Also the owner Nigel was super informative and knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable to do our own thing but was available if we had any questions or needed anything. The nature here is absolutely divine; perfect spacious beaches and walks in the jungle path. Everything is clean; all comforts of home with electricity and warm water. Feels safe and secluded at the end of the jungle. Two minute walk to some of the best restaurants in Bocas Del Toro. Worth the money in every way!!
Amazing beach and jungle nature. You can watch sloth and monkeys. The beach is nearly secluded we stayed there naked. If you walk like 45 minutes you come to a cove called La Picina, there you can have a nice swim. Be carefull at the main beach because of the strong current.
Bluff Beach is a wonderful long and width beach. Even in high season just a few people. Rough waves you need to watch out when entering the water. Swimming only for good swimmers. Next to the beach are a few beach bars which provide a few sunbeds.
