The room was spacious, comfortable and clean and the staff could not have done more for me, from giving me useful directions on public transport in the area to sending a trusted (and cheap!) driver to pick me up when I arrived late at the bus station. I ended up extending my stay by one night and would not hesitate to stay again.

We were there to visit family.
We were there to visit family. The central plaza in front of the cathedral is just down the street from Costa del Sol. There are many places to eat in Chiclayo and the surrounding area. We had lunch in Pimentel at Mar y Loches which is right on the beach and has excellent food. I would highly recommend a trip to Casa Sipan, just outside of Chiclayo. It has a swimming pool for the kids, excellent lunch and a wonderful show of caballos de paso. My granddaughter enjoyed a side trip (about 20 minutes away) to Monsefu to buy artisan gifts for friends. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent as they come out in droves in the late afternoon. BTW, Chiclayo is called the Capital of Friendship, and it really is!

it's a great city, full of culture and history.
it's a great city, full of culture and history. Lots of local museums, excellent food ( specially if you love sea food) Very catholic city which is proud to have Pope Leo XIV as their previous cardinal who worked there for over 30 years. Great night live, safe and it's by the beach if you love surfing it's your place!

I love Chiclayo.
I love Chiclayo. Many good restaurants, I felt safe walking around.
It was easy to find tour guides around tha Plaza central. We went to see the museum and tombs of Señor de Sipan. We were really impressed and admired the beautiful museum and all the findings and remains. The actual tombs was good to see.

Nice place to visi, Nice people, Humble and very accomadating. GREAT food, Chivito, Cebechi and aAoz can Pato are there speciality.
Hreat places to visit, Muaeum and, Tombs od Supan are 5 minute walk worth a day.

Honestly chicalyo is a perfect place to get away and have fun and drink and go to the beach, you will at first be shocked by the difference in how everything is that being the roads the food the people the culture but honestly everyone is so friendly and amazing and the food is absolutely perfect, the drinks are amazing. Everything is very cheap so it’s easy to spend 2000 dollars in 2 months. The only downside is it’s hot haha

Archeological wonders over 2000 years old! Several excellent museums and on-site excavations, with good guides. Desert heat, climate damage of storms affecting sites. Mechan Tours service made our trip the best.

The bed and pillows were so comfy! Most of the staff dont speak English but Google Translate is a life saver and they're still friendly and helpful. A water cooler in the lobby to refill your bottles which is something all hotels should have by now but surprisingly don't. Free airport shuttle both ways. Outlet and lamp beside the bed. Close walk to the town square and good restaurants.

What a little gem! I loved my stay at Tamaris.. I could not have hoped for a more genuine and helpful welcome. This lovely family run hotel is warm and welcoming. It’s also got a really fabulous roof top hand out place with free coffee! lovely clean and comfortable and an excellent location for restaurants and bus terminals.

We loved the location — not right in the center, but within walking distance of great restaurants and just a cheap Uber ride to downtown. The area felt safe, the room was clean, and the water was hot with good pressure. We also appreciated having a fridge in the room.

The owner facilitated all our needs. Even on Monday's when most museums are closed he managed to organise a tour out to 2 that were open and they were fantastic. His coffee is superb, best we've had in South America so far.
