Our stay was amazing!!! The staff was very kind and always open to meet every request we had. They were helpful in any situations and trying to make our stay as much comfortable as possible. The room was clean and with everything we needed. The structure is nice and clean, with a rooftop restaurant/bar for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel organises tour which I highly recommend. They arrange everything for you and you don’t need to worry about anything!

1. Liked the location was a few minutes walk (5 mins) into main town so away from the hustle and bustle but the town was still accessible 2. Courteous and helpful staff. They even prepared sandwiches and fruit as our ferry was supposed to have left at 6am and we couldn't avail breakfast 3. Good variety with breakfast and seems they have signs and lids on each dish. Tasty breakfast options. 4. Spacious room and very comfortable bed 5. Pool was always clean. We all didn't have a chance to use this during our stay as we had alternative plans but looks great. 6. Lovely view of Coron town and Mt Tapyas on the roof deck

Great value for money and friendly, helpful staff were the best parts. The pool was great, and it was a quiet and chilled atmosphere which is what we wanted. It’s a little out of the town, but it wasn’t far to walk and we ended up being near amazing food places that were cheaper because they weren’t in the centre. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, it was all that we wanted. The breakfast included is a great touch, and was OK for vegetarians, it has pancakes/waffles, eggs, fruit. A mix of Filipino and European breakfasts which was nice.

Local people are polite, cheerful and helpful. Easy to get around town by tuktuk, although streets are narrow with no sidewalks. Staff at bacau bay are well trained in service. Staff were attentive to requests and offered assitance readily. The sunset viewing deck and bar was an exceptional experience. There are no accessible beaches around the town of coron, but there are plenty of tours to coron island. The ultimate tour was an amazing experience, especially snorkling in corel reefs, and swimming in pristine lagoons

Aside from Mount Tapyas there isn't really a lot to do in...

Aside from Mount Tapyas there isn't really a lot to do in Coron Town itself (aside from eateries and souvenir stores), so one should definitely book a tour. We loved snorkeling at Siete Pecados; because it's a protected marine sanctuary, the corals are healthy and gorgeous with lots of fish to be seen (please keep it that way by not going too shallow and stepping on the corals). There was a bit of a current when we were there, so good to be watchful for that. Kayaking in the Twin Lagoon was another highlight, so peaceful and relaxing. Kayangan Lake was too crowded for our taste and it was quite annoying to have to wear the life jackets (since we're relatively good swimmers). I don't know how many shipwrecks there are on the various tours, but the one we saw was overrated if you're not a freediver. Mount Tapyas is doable if you're reasonably fit (though it did leave us with muscle ache the next day and we run short distances regularly). Go at sunrise or sunset to avoid the heat, or on a cloudy day like we did. The view is great and it's a fun little activity you can do in-between.

We probably could have stayed for less days - we were there for 6 nights and seven days - we could have cut that down by two days. The trips out to the islands were really good. Although quite long and tiring. An easy town to get around. There was a good array of restaurants and bars to go to and a great Vegan/ Vegetarian restaurant called Verde Rekado. We ended up going there a couple of times for dinner - great food and drinks, good vibes! Definitely our most favourite place to eat on our entire trip to the Philippines.

The airport and almost all hotels are located on Busuanga (the neighbour island of Coron). There is hardly anything to see here. Neither nice beaches nor varied landscapes. You have to take boat trips to the neighbouring island of Coron or go diving. Both are great. Coron with its lakes, lagoons, caves and beaches is amazing. The underwater world is more varied than in El Nido, Moalboal or Boracay.

The damage from the previous typoons is still present. There are numerous bars, I recommend the Pacifico Bar, they have Octoberfest sized mugs to hold the Red Horse Beer. It is 50 Pesos each way from the hotel to town and back. On the island tours, the outhouses are the absolute bare minimum, a toilet, no seat, no tank, no TP, a bucket and a ladle and no sink. Wear grippy water shoes, the stairs are slippery. Go see the Coral Garden, elsewhere all the other fish are <5" and no coral. Unless you go to the the Coral Garden, the crystal kayak is a waste of money. Still I had a great time, the staff did an amazing job, life is an adventure!

The wow factor was definitely at Twin Lagoons and Kayangan Lake. Loved swimming and snorkelling although coming from Australia, the corals and fish were a bit underwhelming. Plenty of cafes and restaurants in Coron Town. We especially liked the french restaurant Armihan Bistro, Poco Deli (next door to Epic Cafe) and Le Voyage. All catered for Gluten Free meals as well. Tuk Tuks are plentiful and easy to catch. 50 pesos for 2 peoples to take you anywhere within the town boundaries. We also walked to the hilltop lookout Mt Tapayas .. but beware, there's 720 steps to climb to get to the top from the car park!!!

The hotel is like a big private walled retreat (with a large pool in the middle) at the edge of the town. It’s within easy walking distance of the centre and restaurants, and convenient for island hopping or diving trips. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The reception staff are just wonderful, and make the visit very pleasant. I rebooked there on my return to Coron from el nido a few days later.

Spacious and comfortable room, walking distance to Coron proper centre (shops, restaurants, nightlife...). The hotel staff kindly helped us to arrange the airport transfer and the island-hopping tour. Breakfast was good, with different options to choose from. The room was equipped with a clothes rack, which was super handy to dry our beach towels and swimsuits!
