Where to start... we booked for just one night but extended our stay cause the place and the people there are amazing. Our room was basic but perfect for two people and next to it, there's a big bathroom. Mecaja has also a restaurant and they organize island hopping tours where you have a high chance of seeing marine wildlife such as turtles, manta rays and colorful corals. It's a quite place right in front of the beach and it's perfect if you wanna relax and stay away from the crowd for a while. The village is small but you can spot some monkeys jumping around. The best part of the stay was Yolanda, the manager of the place, she's such a vibe, always happy and helpful with everything you need; we laughed so much, thanks Yoli, also for the seashell bracelets you made for us<3 Also it's a big opportunity for tourists or backpackers to spend time with locals and get to know the culture a bit more. There's a shop nearby, it's not on Google Maps but the owner is called Maribel and she's the sweetest. Maya and Faby

Beautiful bamboo houses surrounded by nature. WiFi in common areas. Refreshing shower. Good breakfast provided. Maybe a bit scary if you are sensitive to insects as the bamboo houses don’t have windows with glasses, only mosquito nets. But that wasn’t problem for us. Recommend!

Really good value for the money you pay, staff is very nice always willing to help, ask you for your breakfast preferences, do laundry for you, arranged taxi to bus terminal, rented scooters for us, let us check in earlier for free, please ignore first review probably never been to place like this before black outs are common and normal and road to the hotel isnt anything difficult for experienced traveller - bit of mud and few holes even easy on scooter

first stop on our palawan tour and I would say the best - incredible views into bay, cozy and very clean bamboo villas, tasty simple breakfast and very helpful owners. If you want to stay out of loud place but still close enough in case you want have more fun, choose this place as it is like from a fairy tale. Will recommend everywhere!! Best way to reach the accommodation is by boat taxi from port barton
