One of Poland’s oldest cities and a birthplace of the Polish nation, Poznan is the capital city of the Greater Poland (Wielkopolska) region. Famous for international trade fairs, high quality shopping and popular festivals, this city is on the rise!
Its colourful medieval Old Town flourishes with dozens of bars, cafés and pubs open until the early hours of the morning. During warm days, you can sit in one of the pretty beer gardens and admire the architecture and the world going by.
For something different, enjoy Europe’s only steam-hauled passenger train and ride to Greater Poland National Park. Alternatively, visit the reconstructed brewery and indulge in shopping, as the Old Brewery is now one of the world’s best shopping malls.
Poznan lies halfway between Berlin and Warsaw and perfectly combines the old and the new, from Ostrow Tumski with its beautiful St. Peter’s and Paul’s Cathedral, to the glass and steel of Poznan International Fair and the city's skyscrapers.
Booking.com has a wide range of accommodation in Poznan to fit all your needs, from convenient hotels, to stylish apartments and budget hostels. So whenever you happen to arrive at Poznan Lawica Airport, you’re only minutes away from exploring this fascinating city.
I absolutely love Poznan. I have been there seven times since 2016. This time we visited the Palmeniara which I would highly recommend. Also the little buses that do city tours are great. Olivia Restaurant, Weranda Resturant, Levanda Restaurant. Republika Ros on Place Kolegiaca. All great

Amazing old buildings to see, clean city, comfortable roads. Food is very medium, there are 20 cafe around the square and all have almost the same dishes and prices, very poor menu, not creative at all and waiters are not professionals, i was upset because they served me twice hot beer, especially the second time, i had in advance asked them to bring me a cold beer but with no result!!!

Visited many Polish cities, Poznan's right up there.
Visited many Polish cities, Poznan's right up there. Plenty to do, a fabulous market square with plenty of outdoor restaurant seating, Transport is great, trams and buses easy to use. There seem to be many museums, notibly the interactive Enigma museum and the learning centre on cathedral island, zoos and a great botanical garden all easily reached by tram.

You definitely need the internet to look up public transport...
You definitely need the internet to look up public transport, which is excellent and cheap, as the city is spread out with some attractions out on the outskirts. Uber and other taxis are available and good value. The old town as many bars, restaurants, a lot serving good value Polish fayre, good idea to book, as some can be busy at the weekends. We visited a number of craft ale bars, most of which are situated just off the main square. We also visited a brewery on the edge of the city. Cathedral Island and the nearby district of Sodrek are worth a visit.
A holiday centre for families wanting to use the nearby water park, this hotel is not conveniently located for the old town. However Uber’s were quick and cheap for getting around. Our room was a long way from reception and very quiet, which we liked.
Didn't have the breakfast, location was the best thing for this hotel for me, close to the tramway only 5-10 minutes from the city centre by tram, room facilities are really good.
The hotel staff were extremely helpful on arrival and nothing was to much for them.
Ideally located to the heart of Poznan city centre made it even better.
