Not every day you get to stay in a house where the owner's roots go back to Portuguese royalty :) We absolutely loved our stay in Santiago Family House - staff made us feel very welcome, communication was fast and reliable, the room and the house overall was sparkling clean, nice and comfortable. You get to use the kitchen and all it's utilities which is specially nice when arriving late or staying for a longer period. Pool was a very welcome extra after a hot day and for a morning dip. Overall a very lovely stay, both me and my husband wished we could have stayed for more than just one night.

It's a beautiful house in a magical location, after waking up we had the most dreamy mountain views from the balcony. The owner gave us tomatoes and lemons from her garden, and even though she didn't speak any English nor did we speak any Portuguese she was the most wonderful host. Everything was very clean. I would recommend this place a thousand times over, the value for money is unparalleled.

It's a very beautiful and picturesque place! It was raining when we arrived, and it was very romantic to look out the window and hear the sound of the rain.
