The location: the hotel is not at the heart of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, but it is only five minutes away from it. There are several restaurants a few minutes away (walking distance) either towards the centre or away from it, making the hotel more central than one would think. If you are looking for a beautiful area this is not what you will get, but the hotel is really 200 m from the start of the centre, and the area is not ugly either. It is just "normal". The breakfast was good, with great choice.

It turned out to be an unusual type of accommodation for us, although probably typical for Portugal. It’s a one-storey building with a small living room with kitchen just after the entrance, and one bedroom on the ground floor, and a second bedroom in the attic. Ideal for summer, but in winter you may need to use the air conditioning for heating.

The property, the breakfast, the location, the hosts, the facilities were all excellent. A real treat in a lovely part of the country with so much history and stunning countryside on the doorstep. A couple of days stay is not enough!

Everything was perfect - the location, the facilities, the communication. We loved the apartment and the town. Both were perfect for our motorbike tour. We loved the outdoor space, the excellent shower, great cooking facilities and the fact that we were in the heart of this welcoming community. We shall be back!
