PortugalI stayed for one night with a friend and had an amazing experience. The hotel is very well located, and the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with a bed that made it easy to relax. The view was absolutely breathtaking, truly unforgettable. We also enjoyed the pool and the breakfast, which, although simple, offered a good variety of options. One of the highlights was that the beach by the lagoon is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel, which made it even more convenient. Everything about our stay was perfect, and I genuinely couldn't recommend a better place to stay in Gerês.

AustriaEveryone was very friendly, room was very clean and had everything i needed. The hotel is in between two bus stops, so i it was impossible to miss it when getting there. It has a nice bakery and a supermarket right nearby and also the hotel's restaurant was excellent!

Pousada Mosteiro de Amares provided a truly unforgettable experience. The space, crafted with deep history and delicate design touches, offered a spatial experience unlike any other.
Here are the three factors that made our stay particularly significant:
1. Architectural Harmony: The way the historic monastery has been transformed is magnificent. The balance between the ancient stone structure and modern fixtures—from the lighting to the furniture—is masterful and inspiring.
2. Serene Atmosphere & Views: The peaceful environment and the breathtaking views from the property allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the history of the site.
3. Culinary Excellence: Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented, complementing the overall high-quality experience of the stay.
I strongly hope to return one day. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a unique architectural journey.

The breakfast was good - fruit juice, cereal, coffee or tea, bread or toast, cakes, cheese, ham, yogurt and fruit. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well looked after, and the grounds very well kept. The bed was comfortable, and the bedroom an ample size, and the balcony was large. The location was beautiful and very quiet.

The former monastery is fantastic in terms of spacial experience and the mix between old structure and new details! The hotel really has a wow factor! The service is also very good! The breakfast is fantastic! We had a very nice stay!
